TTCUPS
just purchased 94 sc400 only had it for about 5 days, have two problems. 1. there seems to be some slack somewhere in the drive train,if you get above 30mph and let off the gas compleatly then hit the gas again there is a banging noise coming from the right rear. 2. there seems to be hot air coming in to the cabin even with the heat compleatly off, also the ignition key is hot when removed. i dont know these cars very well, are these to problems anything to be worried about? what is causing the banging noise? where is the heat coming from? thanks for any help, im a little concerned. ttcups. TTCUPS
I also get a little cabin heat from time to time. ← sounds like the heat is nothing to worry about. thanks for the replys. any ideas on the clunking when letting off the gas and hitting the gas again. dealer says it should be the axel joint on that side. he said it is common on that car and not to worry unless it gets worse. is he right? ttcups
JDOwen2
You could use header wrap on your exhaust pipes to help the heat issue. The noise is only an issue if you think it is or something breaks. I, personally, don't like unknown noises and would pursue a fix.
SirSam
I get that right rear noise everytime I engage the parking brake, whether moving or not, I was never concerned with this as I heard something about there being small drums in the back brake rotors(never looked) heard of it I believe reading one of the topis on here, not sure.
