"popping" Noise At Driver's Floor Pan

On my 2004 LX470 I get a popping noise at the floor pan just under the foot rest on the left side of the floor pan. I think it is a popped rivet at the floorpan where welded to the frame. It only makes this popping noise when I stress the frame in a turn of move onto uneven pavement or anything that torques the frame.

Anyone else getting this. I am going to have them look at it at the 15K checkup.

Yes,

My 04 just started this about a week ago.  It has 17000 miles now.  I am taking it in for service tommorow.  I will update if I find out what it is.

Please let me know. Mine goes in for it 15K service but I have not had alot of luck getting these type things addressed. Seems they want to get the service done and that it.

It won't be easy to find. Mine used to only make this noise every once in a while but no almost ALL the time :cries:

Have the same problem (i think) with a 2005 LX 470. Has anyone heard more on this? I hear a sound (like a poping sound) from under the driver's left foot area when starting to move from a full stop and at low speed turns. The noise almost always is in a set of 2 or 3 pops with about one/two second in between each pop. It is easily reproduced by veering to right/left at low speeds. Thanks!

I had the same problem. It was the CV joints that have gone bad. They will creak and pop upon turning or with the suspension moves up or down. But I see your trucks have less miles and are newer than mine. My CV joints went out at 80k miles and the LX470 was 8 years old then. So this is just my own experience for what the "pop" was.

Thanks for the reply. The car has 36K and has made this noise from the start. As you say it may be too early for CV joints but could be the problem. In th shop for breaks and some other work. They are trying to figure out this problem too ... we'll see.
