Upgrading To Xenon Lights On Gs

I have just bought new xenon oem lights for 2002 gs and I have no idea on how to wire in the leveling motors. I'm having trouble wiring in the leveling motors on my HID's.Does anybody have any suggestions? -

What do you mean by "wire in?"

The leveling motors are controlled by the headlight ECU. The headlight ECU receives ride height information from the two headlight leveling sensors attached to one front and one rear lower control arm. For the system to work properly you need:

1. HID headlights

2. HID headlight ECU

3. HID headlight leveling sensors and the required bolts and screws

4. Wiring harness to the rear and front sensor

If you do not have all of these parts, the lights are not going to be self leveling. If you did buy all of these parts, I pity your wallet. B) Most likely the harnesses you need are not available seperately, but are integrated into the cars other wiring. To make it work, you'd have to buy the sensor connectors, pins, etc. and make your own. You'd need (and be able to understand in depth) the wiring diagram as well. Compared to the standard halogen system, there are many more parts, wires, etc. If you make friends with the parts guy and the service manager you'll be able to do it. Assuming you did get everything connected, each sensor has to be adjusted as well as the neutral position of the lamp bodies themselves.

The alternative is to forget about the motors and blind oncomming traffic like 98% of the rest of the guys do that retrofit HIDs on their GS. It simply was not intended to be done as a DIY job.

Well said GUY, I wouldn't attempt the job myself . My advice is to keep your stock system and replace with sylvania silverstars . GOOD LUCK !!! B)
