linbl Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Hi, I was looking for buying the multi-panel moonroof in Seattle area, Washington. I talked to a salesman and he told me they don't sell this on AWD and it only sold in CA. Tha't not true. So I give up looking for this multi-panel moonroof package. And we talked about the 2004 RX330 with Nav. But we didn't make the deal on the 2004 because they don't accept my price. Then it comes up my mind. I search internet and found it in yahoo.com. It can be custom. So again, I told to salesman in Portland, Oregon. He told me it will be factory custom order. So I will meet him when I am back to Oregon. He also told me "Yours will be the first RX330 we'll have sold with either of the options you mention(multi-panel moonroof and laser cruise control)". Just need to wait 4 months to get this order. Does anyone have these options - multi-panel moonroof and laser cruie control??? And does anyone know if it is possible that I can discount on this special order 2005? Maybe not, and I will need to accept their MSRP. For the total, I think it will be MSRP $45,668. 2005 RX330 4dr SUV AWD ($36,675) Exterior: Flint Mica Interior: Light Gray, Walnut 1. Thanks... This will be my first Brand New car in my life. I want it so badly.
kh046 Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 That sounds like a beauty. However, from my experience, don't ever deal with MSRP price. There's always a meeting ground where the dealer and you can always settle on. Remember, if you take MSRP, both the salesperson and dealership will be celebrating after you leave. Therefore, do your homework and search out for prices of this particular RX that you want. If not, you can always wait for a while. The best times to buy cars are always at the end of the month, or the end of the year. Good luck!
SeaDuck79 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I think your price is a little high, but your special order may have killed any bargaining position you had. If you bought something without the multi-panel roof, you could probably have it for a few thou less. Would an aftermarket roof have cost that much?
linbl Posted September 15, 2004 Author Posted September 15, 2004 I just place the order in Oregon. It needs 3-4 months waiting for the special order. $5000 unrefundable deposit. MSRP 45668. And $1000 discount. Isn't it a good deal or not? At least, I got the deal and a little discount. Right now, I am waiting for their confirmation because they need to contact with the factory if they can make it or not. They just don't ever see this RX330 before, either Multipanel Moonroof or Dynamic Laser Cruise Control. Hope I will get their confirm soon. And it will be my X'mas gift. Can't wait to be Lexus owner. It also surprises me because it's only $1000 different from the regular Navigation system package with additional options. I got the multipanel moonroof and laser cruise control. Just don't have the roof rack. Others all included. That's it. Multipanel Moonroof Demo 1.2mb
