TexasLexus94 Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Driving along a smooth, flat highway, maintaining a constant speed of, say 40-60 MPH, when I let off the gas, and then lightly reapply pressure to the accelerator, I get a hesitation that feels like an engine missing for a split second. One or 2 bumps. Then all is well again. No problems under any other conditions-accelerating, idling. The car is fully tuned, with new wires, plugs, clean intakes etc. It does not feel like an electrical problem, nor a fuel problem. My fear is the tranny or rear end. Car has 105K miles. Any ideas I can pursue? Thanks for you help.
Em91 Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Try putting in some fuel injector cleaner like Chevron Techron. Maybe your fuel injectures are alittle dirty. You may also have gotten bad gas. Good luck.
99lsguy Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 You could pan drain the tranny and add a couple fresh quarts Toyota type IV and Change your diffy fluid -- 80-90W GL-5 gear lube. that'll cost you about $30 total if you DIY
ylekiot1 Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 I had hesitation and the transmission didn't seem to be "talking well" with the engine on shifting or significant accellerator changes. Seemed to shift hard thinking i was getting on it when i wasn't. On a whim I adjusted my throttle position sensor. Problem solved.
VBdenny Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 How do you adjust the throttle pressure sensor?
