lex
Can someone tell me how to adjust the headlight aim on my 92 ES300? The left is slightly higher than the right. Thanks.
SKperformance
there is a black knob behind the headlight turn it and it adjusts the car must e on a leveled surface as you will have to adjust acording to the green level on the top of the headlight
lex
Do you mean the black knob attached to the clear cylinder with the red lines and the letters R and L? Isn't that the horizontal aim adjust?
SKperformance
you got it be careful as it is easy to break the cylinder if set too much in the wrong direction
lex
Its feels like I need a lot of force to turn the black knob in both directions. Is it supposed to be that hard to turn? Also I noticed that the white plastic piece connecting the clear plastic that the metal rod passes through pulls back and is springy. Whats that for? zeta
it's supposed to be springy. or at least mine is. i think that's for tension to keep the headlight in the correct position. my plastic thing broke off on one of my housings, and the headlights aim is horrible now. the left goes straight, and the broken right one shines too much onto the ground. be sure not to crack that. it's very important. lex
Guess what guys, the black knob doesn't adjust the vertical aim. I tried that and it doesn't seem to do anything. I noticed another long metal bolt protruding a few inches from the black knob. So I tried turning that one and voila! Now I have perfectly leveled headlight aim. yay!
