kstyle55 Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Wuz up yall I asked this question in the GS forum and got no answer so here I am asking the same question. I am new here and just wanted to know before I go rim shoping what is the best offset to get for a 1st gen GS 300 with either a 19" or 20" rims also what is the widest I can go on the car without rubbing. I really want an agressive look so I also want to go with some staggered rims so I can get that deep dish. I hope thats enough info to give me an answer and if not just ask. Thanks in advance
Mr. Curious Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 only 19's or 20's? ok. here is my personal opinion: wheels: 19x8.5 (front) +38 to +46 offset 19x10 (rear) +40 to +41 offset tires: 265/35 (front) 305/30 (rear) i would not recommend going with those size tires with wheels of any less width. those size tires are also the most speedo correct. its a shame that i couldnt finding a matching pair of tires in those sizes :(. youd be stuck with michelin pilot sport ps2's in front with pirelli pzero rosso assimetrico's out back (not very many of either tire size). if you were to go with a 295 rear, you could have continental contisportcontact 2's on all four corners. hope this info helps you out.
kstyle55 Posted September 9, 2004 Author Posted September 9, 2004 Thanks for the reply I am sorry for the delay, I was out of town. Are those the only tires that I can put on those I was hoping to put some sticky compound tires in the back you know for that extra grip like the Nitto 555r's or somwthing like that. and what about offsets for some 20" rims with the same width
Mr. Curious Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 sorry, but but you wont be able to have nitto 555r's with 20's, 19's, or even 18's. id recommend eagle f1 gsd3's as an alternative.

Neo Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 id recommend eagle f1 gsd3's as an alternative. I don't think these come in 20s. :)
