I have heard from several people that the 2006 IS and the 2006 GS are going to be the same car? Is there any truth behind this? If so or if not, does anyone have any reputable links for pictures, stats, and pricing?

I haven't heard that, although many people expect a big change dor the IS ifor 2006. I'm not sure there's much info available yet.

Yeah, I have been keeping an eye out for the past several months and haven't been able to find anything about the 2006, I can only find info on the new GS. I guess we will have to wait and see. :whistles:

I very much doubt what you are hearing is correct. IS and GS owners are very different in terms of target market. IS appeals to a younger market vs. a more mature GS owner. I have driven both cars and although I enjoyed both cars they are quite different given the GS is more refined. Being more refined loses in my opinion some of the fun factor.

In short, everything I read indicates they will have an more extended IS line - maybe they will be based on the same/similar platform as the new 2006 GS. Like Audi A6/A4.

I read that article and seen the pics. Not sure what to think. Maybe to "concept" looking for me.

From what I have heard.....Its going to be the same format as it is now, but definately a more powerful engine. I believe it will have the new 3.0L at 260HP.
