joeytech Posted August 6, 2004 Share Posted August 6, 2004 I have a 1993 ES300 and both headlight sockets keep melting. I've replaced it three times. amf1932 Posted August 6, 2004 Share Posted August 6, 2004 The reason your sockets are melting is because the contacts are oxidized. The added resistance causes excessive heat at this point. Either you can try cleaning off this oxidation, or use a contact cleaner before plugging it into the lamp. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
