Engine Stalls

[01 IS 300]

I need help figuring out why my IS 300 is stalling. I just installed an AEM cold air

intake, but I hope thats not the problem. It car stalls when I come to a complete stop at a light or stop sign. If anyone has any suggestions please reply.

This has happened with many IS300's that have that style intake, with no heat shield.

With an open element filter such as the AEM, when the radiator cooling fans come on, there is turbulence that messes up the air flow to/through that intake filter resulting in stalling. The two fixes are to go back to a snorkel type intake like stock, or install a shield between the filter and those fans to keep the turbulent air away.
