Hi, I am in the market to purchase a used CT200h, preferably by owner, forum owner at that. I and am wondering if there are things to look for that are specific related to this model? Like Subaru head gaskets needing attention after 100k, etc...

Thank you in advance. Rob G.

From model years 2012-2016, Consumer Reports shows that all have an overall reliability rating of "much better than average". Only the 2015 has a category that earned a "worse than average" rating.
This was for "In-Car Electronics" which includes:
Audio system
Entertainment system
Navigation system
Backup camera/sensors
Communication system
Also, model year 2014's major and minor engine category were rated only average vs. much better than average for other years.

Of course, previous owners' maintenance history is very important for certain items like oil and other fluid changes, as well as filter changes. Hopefully, the previous owner(s) maintained a list or folder of all services done to the car.

The big problem when having a CT is that when you for some reason need to change, you'll have a hard time finding something as nice. At least if in same size. If you find one with all the so called extras it is so comfortable that not much same size is comparable. The one we have will have hybrid battery warranted till 2031 and then I hope we can find one powered with hydrogen. The people living in California are really lucky.

If you really love music try to find one with Mark Levinson audio. In very few (maybe none) other brands you can find comparable sound quality.

Paul McCartney has given it thumbs up.

Well, John! Yes you can find a car as quiet, comfortable, and available with a Mark Levinson stereo.

The ES300h.  Go for It!

Too big to find parking space for here. When the CT is to be replaced will look for a similar size H2 car. Warranty for hybrid battery is good till 2031. Parking places here are made for Fiat 500, the original, not the new that is bigger than a CT.
