Replacing The Standard Radio With A Gps Unit

I own a 1998 GS300 and I purchased it used. Is it possible to replace the current standard radio and climate controls with the touch screen GPS unit? I have been told conflicting info from the Lexus dealer but I figured the amount of knowledge in the forum wouldnt let me down! Please help!

There are basically 3 options for you:

1. 98-00 OEM Nav (HD based)

2. 01+ OEM Nav (DVD based)

3. Aftermarket

All three options are doable but all are typically in the 2k+ range. If you are interested in option 1, under $2k plug and play, PM me. I just happen to know someone who is selling a system.

As far as I know, your statement is true. My option list had to do with the original poster's 98 GS300.
