texxclark Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 So as i posted in my last msg, i just got my new 91 LS with 80000 miles on it. I just went to get my insurance quote through progressive and was quite worried. I was going from an 89 V6 maxima with 170000 miles and only liability to a car with a significant resale value. I obviously decided to add comprehensive coverage to my basic 350,000 / 500,000 liability and am ecstatic at my quote. Im a 22 year old male and am only paying 588.00 every six months, which to me, is great. My agent just told me she had insured a mid 90's F150 for 3300 every six months, grant it, he did come from direct, which is no good. I have a clean driving record, so im happy. My insurance is only going up 300 a year, so either way, the i am so happy with my car now!!!
99lsguy Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 It's a good, solid, safe vehicle............. I got mine for that reason ......well, and the looks, and the engine, and the ride, and the legroom, and..............etc
1UZ-FE Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 well im 17 with no tickets or accidents driving a 94 LS with 167k. the account is under my parents name but i still pay it in full. i pay $1,200 every 6 months with full coverage (we took out a loan from the bank.) when i was car shopping before i bought my LS, i looked at a 97 V6 mustang. the insurance "symbol" for the mustang was 16. the "symbol" for my LS is 21! a mustang 3 years new is cheaper than my LS. just my 2¢.
