blueviol
Hi, I have been getting this check enging light for over a year along with the TRAC light. The TRAC does not turn off. The TRAC button does not work either. However, a couple of months ago, TRAC came back to life briefly for one day :P , with the TRAC light turned off and the button working, and then it went bad again . At what occasions do I get the CHECK ENGING light? Could the TRAC problem cause the CHECK ENGING light on? Could this be oxigen sensor problem? Other than the lights on the console, I do not notice much abnormal behavior or performance downgrade of my car. Please advise. Thanks,

AWJ
It's simple. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you the simplified procedure. You should always at least check the code to find out what it is. Others have the same issues but I forget what the cause and cure is.

blueviol
Do the mechanic shops usually have the code reader? The place I visited last time didn't have it for model year 95. Would Firestone have the scanner? Thanks,
