Small unknown 2008 RX350 hose needs upgrade. Any recommendations on what specific hose to order, general cost, and can it be easily done?

A mechanic recently pointed out that there is a split in the original small hose in the engine compartment on the driver's side (see pic). I asked my regular mechanic and they said I could just patch the split with electrical tape to seal. I would prefer to just replace the hose with a new one if it is relatively inexpensive and easy to do myself. Its a small rubber hose a few inches long and looks fairly easy to exchange for a new one. Please advise on your suggestion for resources on this. Thanks in advance!

Attached please find the pic of the exact hose (circled in red) that I’m inquiring about replacing due to a crack that developed from age. It's a small rubber connecting hose about 3 inches long.

Was given the Part 1226131050 and wanted to confirm that this is the needed replacement part. Attaching screenshot from Lexus website but note my cracked hose (which still works fine but want to replace for future proofing) doesn’t have anything on the ends as shown in the parts diagram.

Please advise fellow Lexus owners club members on what to do here.

The hose in the image looks like it has a steel tube in it. Yours looks like a simple rubber tubing length. You can drive your vehicle over to an auto parts store, remove the tubing and show it to the counter person. They should have the right size, sold by the foot.

Thanks, the hose is simply a curved rubber '3 hose that connects to the air box circled with red arrow at the connection location and the actual hose circled in red. The dealer is wanting to sell me the whole assembly and dancing around just selling me the small curved rubber '3 hose. Didn't wish to use an improper hose but doesn't appear Lexus wants to sell me this piece. Will try O'Reilly or Auto Zone. Appreciate your reply.
