Rear End Swap

I am getting ready to by a 94 supra rearend for my 98 gs400 it should bolt up but the guy im buying from says he thinks its a 3;73 I thought they were 3:76 he said it was from an automatic could this make a diff.Also will this through off my speedometer and odometer if so how can i fix ? PLEASE HELP im buying in a day

well the dif in gear ratio will affect your speedometer, and in effect also effect your odometer. just the same way changing tire size or rim size can even switching to lighter or more heavy rims will throw off the calibration of the speedometer. but it can be calibrated.. call around to some of your local shops and ask if they have the software to do it... I cant think of the exact name of it at the momant.
