Lkevon
Hi all, I will do some routine maintenance soon. I have some questions regarding Power steering and coolants used on my 99 GS. My power steering is slightly below full it looks a bit brownish clear. Am I reading the manual correct or is it a misprint? The manual states the use of ATF dexron III for power steering. I thought dexron ATF are redish in color? So are they compatible? And second, I've checked the coolant and it's reddish in color. But the manual calls for ethylene glycol which is traditionally green in color. Are the red toyota/Lexus coolants any special or maybe I have the wrong coolants in my car now? Would appreciate feedbacks!!! Thanks, Kevin
tralhed
Toyota/Lexus coolant is red in color. You can get it at any dealer. Factory p/s fluid is tan in color and the replacement is dexron.
