DeftonesLexus
The other day I was looking itno purchasing an intake for my car and read the forums on here and saw that most people said stay away from those aftermarket intakes for various reasons. So I decided I too would stay away from those intakes such as the Injen. Then I started reading about the BFI and everyone said it was a good idea. I went to the plantesoarer.com website and checked out how it was done and made and I would like to try this project on my car. My car is a 1995 SC300, my questions are how would this affect my gas mileage, will I get less miles per gallon? and how much power can I really expect from this modification since my car is 6 cylinders?. Also how would it affect the engine life? I would really appreciate any help to my questions.
JDOwen2
I recently did the BFI on my 95 SC300. MPG increased from 18 to 20. Shouldn't affect engine life unless you always have your foot in it. :D
DeftonesLexus
what do you mean by have your foot in it? and was there a noticeable difference in the performance of the car?
JDOwen2
I'm referring to always driving with the pedal to the metal, floored, flat out, etc.
