Peeling back the cloth and carpet lining inside the trunk wall. Using a long metal hanger or grabber tool to fish out the keys or trigger the latch. This method takes patience and a flashlight, but it avoids damage and locksmith fees. 🔌 Option 2: Bypass the Trunk Release Wiring If you're comfortable with light electrical work: Remove the lower dash panel near the driver’s knee area. Locate the trunk release switch wiring. Use a paperclip or jumper wire to connect the two terminals and trigger the trunk solenoid. This trick has worked for SC owners when the switch itself wasn’t functioning. 🪛 Option 3: Manual Override (Riskier) Some have drilled a small hole near the trunk keyhole lens and used a screwdriver to manually push the latch bar.
