    • Hi Irene, I don't know if you solved your problem yet. The Parking Support Brake can be enabled/disabled on the multi-information display that shows behind the steering wheel Scroll through the screens with the left/right arrows (left side of steering wheel). Select the Circular settings wheel. Press the down arrow to select the car/back up icon. Then disable the function. An orange light will show on your dashboard all the time to remind you it's disabled.
    • Hi Folks, My Multi-information display started to act up on me the past few days on my 3-month old Lexus. Specifically: Multi-information display:         Navigation system-linked display         Route guidance to destination         Street name       I don't want the Navigation/Street name to display. I have my Multi-information display set to the Audio screen. It's been set to this screen since I bought my car. Now when I am driving the street name appears for every approaching intersection! If I try to get rid of it by pressing the 'back button', it disappears, but a few seconds later it re-appears to show the next approaching street! And it doesn't matter which Multi-information display screen I switch to:  / Audio /  Driving support info / Warning message / Settings / Navigation system-linked display  etc. If I select ANY of the above screens, the Street name will still pop up on its own and display the approaching street. Can someone please tell me how I can put an end to this?
    • I was looking back at this post, and the cam end cap was removed to replace the VVTI filter on the driver's side of the engine. It was not difficult to do. The first step is to tear the front of the engine as if you were going to replace the timing belt or water pump. You will find that you will only need to tear it down to the point where the tensioner can be removed. Slip the timing belt off the cam. Mark the location. Remove the valve cover and the cam end cap.  I forgot I did use a cam lock bolt to keep the cams from moving. Once you have removed the cam end cap, the VVTI filter will be exposed. Replace the filter and reassemble it in reverse, being careful to make sure the timing is correct.
    • Less-than-ideal battery voltage can cause all kinds of weird symptoms.  Motor off, take a voltage reading on the battery.  It should be at least 11.8 volts static.  Start the car and let it run while repeating the test.  You should see about 13.5 volts.   If these are fine, clean the top of the battery and connections.  Then tighten them well.  If your battery is 4 years old, I'd begin to look for a new one.
    • Hi all.  Just bought used 2007 Lexus es350 for granddaughter.  Cruise control worked while test driving.  Now, 1 day later, the light only flashes when I turn on CC. Speedometer works fine, no engine codes.  Since the light blinks, I am assuming the switch on the steering wheel is okay, I assume the brake light switch is good since the brake lights operate as they should. I also assume the fuse is good since the switch operates the indicator light.  there are no other warning lights except TPMS which comes and goes.  Any thoughts? Anyone had this issue?
