    • I’m having similar issues as well but my car still has full power. Just misfiring on cylinders 3,5,6&7. Did you ever fix your problem?
    • Have you considered taking your car to a tire shop. They probably deal with leak issues, often.
    • Gemini / Bard AI states that: Lexus has implemented several measures to enhance the security of its key fobs and mitigate the risk of relay attacks. Here are some of the key strategies: Improved Key Fob Technology: Motion Sensors: Newer Lexus models incorporate motion sensors in their key fobs. These sensors activate a low-power mode when the key fob is stationary, significantly reducing the signal's range and making it harder for thieves to intercept. Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology: Some Lexus models utilize UWB technology for enhanced security.UWB operates on a different frequency than traditional key fob signals, making it more difficult for relay devices to intercept and amplify. UWB also provides more precise location data, further enhancing security.      Ongoing Security Updates: Lexus continuously monitors emerging threats and updates its vehicle systems with software patches to address potential vulnerabilities, including those related to relay attacks. Collaboration: Lexus collaborates with industry partners and security experts to develop and implement the latest security measures and best practices.    Disclaimer: This information is for general knowledge and guidance only. It does not constitute professional security advice. END AI QUOTE So, Barry, knowing the fact that high-end thieves and Lexus are constantly trying to stay one step ahead of each other, your worry is some what well founded. I sold my steering wheel locking bar called the club and will never use one.  They are clumsy. Since you can't keep your fob in a tin can all the time, that is like you say, not practical. Just my own feeling:  you're much more likely to be car jacked than have your Lexus lifted in the middle of the night.  They just walk up to you at a light pointing a gun at you and ask you to get out.  Thinking you are an MD, you don't live in a high crime area. But you do drive thru high crime areas.   When I'm out touring the city, I like to think of myself as a duck in a barrel.  Hopefully, not a dead one.
    • If the rims have been cleaned and didn't leak with the old tires, and valves are good, then you need to identify the source of the leak. Take a front tire, completely submerge it in water, watch for the bubbles. Flip onto the other side and check it too. Kind of old school but it works great and is easy to do.
    • Update for those following - Dealer picked up the car on Tuesday, 1/7/25. No progress yet. Sounds like Lexus is sending someone to MN to look at the car in person and they arrive next week. As of now Shift System Malfunction is still a mystery. I did have another potential issue pop up last weekend. The Maintenance Required Soon light came on. It comes on briefly at start up and goes out within 30 seconds. According to the miles to next service (wrench icon) it has over 5,000 miles until service is needed. Someone told me the light might be indicating a tire rotation is due. Maybe but why has it never come on for that before? Why does it go out so quickly? How does the driver know what maintenance is required? Just seems odd and makes my paranoid side wonder if this car has electrical issues. Stay tuned….
