  2. Thanks. I replaced the battery and the charge was covered by Lexus, although I have been unable to confirm if the battery was bad (long story). In the final analysis, either the battery was bad or the charging mechanism (alternator or otherwise) wasn't working. If the former is the case, then the problem has been solved (hopefully). If the latter, either that is a significant engineering defect or I need some direction on how to keep the 12 V charged. The question is whether the 12 v battery charges while the car is on EV mode. If the 12 V runs down after every few hundred miles, then that is not sustainable and if there is something in my driving habits (such as operating almost exclusively on EV mode) that needs to change, it would be useful to know. In the meantime, I am getting jumper cables. Until this happened, I had no idea that these were necessary for a PHEV.
  3. Hi. I’m having the same issue. Did you ever figure out what harness is needed?
  4. Hello I was wondering did you find out what that part was broken in your vehicle because my daughter have the same situation?

  6. Hi Dave, Thank you for your suggestions. It will be a few months before I need an oil change, but when I go to the Lexus dealer I will ask the service adviser about it. Incidentally, when Lexus corporate sent me a form letter welcoming me an as owner I did respond with my above concern. I received a reply the next day or two essentially saying that Consumer Reports is an independent testing agency and I should contact them about their report on major reliability problems with the aforementioned engine. I wrote back thanking them for their prompt reply, but I (politely) pointed out that the double down red arrows were not the result of testing but instead based upon a reader survey of owners of the 2021 NX300h. I didn't hear anything back and that was a few weeks ago so it's safe to say that Lexus corporate is disinterested and considers the matter closed.
  7. Hello, Bill. Who tested the battery, and was it load-tested? Obviously, not starting after one week is not normal. Is your remote fob battery good? If that battery is week, you can sometimes verify by placing the fob against the vehicle's start button as you press that button. A weak fob button can often allow the vehicle to start if you do it this way.

  9. Have a 2004 ES 330 that is having, what sounds like, a similar problem. The battery and starter seem to work fine. It will start and work great, but every once-in-a-while, it doesn't start. All the dash lights come on but the starter won't kick in. This seems to happen most often just after filling the gas tank. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It has been to the mechanic three or four times for this, but it still happens. The first time, we just tightened the gas cap and that worked. I purchased a new Toyota gas cap about 18 months ago because of an evap system code, but we still continue to have this issue.
  10. I'm confused. Where did you end up routing the hose to?
  11. I had the same problem with AFS on my 2007 ES350 - could not locate the switch (it's referenced in my manual, but picture was not very helpful). Instruction to locate switch was perfect. Worked like a champ. Thanks! Victor
  12. the picture shows hole's 3 and 5 not 3 and 4.
  13. My ‘06 470 developed a TOTAL UP rear end with a very bumpy ride. I followed the advice from the Forum and YouTube. I replaced the TWO ride SENSORS, L and R. I purchased the parts on Amazon, $109. 1. Raised rear end onto jack stands. 2. Removed wheels L&R. 3. SLOWLY removed each SENSOR. (I soaked the mounting hex bolts with JB Blaster) 4. Replaced SENSORS in reverse order. 5. Once the wheels were back on the ground I disconnected the battery for 10mins. 6. Once electric power was restored the car VERY SLOWLY returned to NORMAL stance. 7. I spent 8hrs total. I’m NOT a highly skilled mechanic, with a very basic tool box.
  14. Were you able to figure out the issue? I’m having the same problem:(
  15. I have the opportunity to purchase an '06 Lexus LX470 (170k Miles) in Cypress Pearl - Ivory interior in great condition. All necessary repairs and maintenance were performed this month. I have listed the large maintenance items below. I am curious what a good market range is for this vehicle? Please advise. 17. I didn’t do anything to resolve the “problem”. My Celsior doesn’t need that relay. My fan is hydraulic and I don’t have heated seats.
  18. Someone mentioned a Washer fuse. I couldn't find one marked washer. Can you tell me where it is located? Thanks CaptainSal
  19. How can I disconnect so it won't try to come up lexus sc430? Is there a fuse?
  20. RX350 2007. I have the same problem. Loud thumping in rear when going over bumps or when turning. Suspension checks out ok. Spare tire ok. Any thoughts?
  21. So, did you get it sorted? What was the cause of it running so rich?
  22. Did you manage to get the glitch fixed? Sidebar thought: I've heard from several sources that cleaning the display screen with an interior cleaner that contains ammonia is an absolute no-no. Ahmed at The Car Care Nut YouTube channel (highly recommended) says the same. Perhaps that's the contagion that struck your nav screen?
  23. You help your way, I will help my way. If you check my posts on here you will find all of them are technical and helping answer other people's questions. The vast majority, like this question, are questions posted by first post members, who ask one question, get the answer they need, never come back to even bother to say thanks, let alone add any value to the group later on. If you don't think my answers add value, feel free to put me on ignore but don't tell me how I need to help.
  24. Read the instructions, follow them are certainly complicated. In the CT (2017 with ML audio, sunroof, leather (synthetic) and all the extras available here) we have it is far simpler: Car is not turned on - take out the old microSD-card - insert the new microSD-card - turn on the car. Updated navigations system (2021) functions after about 20 minutes with car turned on. Have not updated since as the navigations system in Lexus is not worth using; often tells you to follow longer roads and sometimes against one way streets. Any smartphone has better navigations system and with completely free updates except for handing info about where you are while using the navigation over to Google. Most people do that anyway. Apple system is not better, also steal all the info available whenever using your phone.
  25. Extreme price. Here we can buy map updates on micro-SD-cards around 40€. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355554589554?itmmeta=01HVE4M16HGXB9T4ZGXYABJCNN&hash=item52c8b47b72:g:ovEAAOSwolBkxm54&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8FZyOZPfnbsqRjz4h%2F3PjSUyHW5p6IWCYSuHa5z62vUCx5ddwq3RblF7o0r13Wt19Ct4dh4yR%2BKthmI9Rpj%2Bo4JuGqDvisyly6quAQigIlcOqtRUSSGFIsjMtCWsWw9IHiqwkwVXmV%2F2Gr6vyvIQcsDMv4r%2BBIs1i75ENXPYTjkZnqLyOL46kIwLTZYhZMGidBHk%2BGudXUY425m20yjhymTTLE1IGbgx27OpzdxIaRn8%2Bw4nylwuIJ0U3%2F1nNmQ0Koemw%2FiuHv7BMemzjNvp%2BjZG5LaSSw0YxksDwWNHrwn%2FMZQZXxCd5DpqGDjaVAXuYw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7CT0MTbYw
