92 ls400 cranks but won't stay on

The previous owner said it ran good. I tried turning it on and it only stays on if I give it gas. I've already replaced the MAF and cleaned it out good, the battery is fully charged and I just don't know what's wrong with it. Any suggestions?

What did you clean the MAF with? If it was not bad you might have killed it. You can't clean the MAF on the first GEN with any kind of solvent. Is your check engine light on? If so get the codes read or read them yourself.

It was the ECU

This does not surprise me, if it was the original ECU, the capacitors have been known to leak and cause failures, this is pretty well documented, quite remarkable that so many of us are still driving these cars 25 years after they have been manufactured, I am sure not even Lexus expected this.
