starts then random dies

The car started out with draining batteries in 3 or 4 days. Found a bad connection in the alternator  harness. Fixed and ran great for a few months. Trac light came on and off a few times then stopped. Started losing power and would die or start accelerating properly. Had to kick in passing gear to avoid an accident. Made a clicking noise on the passenger side . It began to shift eraticaly. Changed out the fuel pressure regulator. No change. Car starts fine and will drive great until it looses power and coasts  to a stop,then restarts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the 76140 area code in case anyone knows of a good mechanic in my area. Also changed the fuel relay. All fuses and relays are good. Thanks again.
