I need to find exactly where I was when I hit a highway cone late at night on Interstate 5. I understand CalTrans is liable (the cone was out of place on its side in my path) for the damage to my car. However they need the location within 1/2 mile. Foolishly, I did not stop nor note where I was but kept on going.
Garmins have trip logs that can be easily downloaded into a computer. Does the 2004 Lexus ES330 Gen 4 Nav system have a tracking log? Can it be accessed?
Thanks in advance,
Alan

If you don't get an answer here and you get one somewhere else, please report back. I'm interested in the answer. Thanks.
Interesting too, that the state would give you reimbursement for hitting a non-fixed object. They get hit and spun around so often. I glanced at our state's "forms" page and didn't see a form to use for a claim. CalTran's was very easy to find.
Good luck.

I looked in your nav manual and don't see that extracting information is available. I also check our Garmin Nuvi manual and it can't do it either.
