So I found out that my girlfriends 96 lexus ES330 needs to have the brake boosters replaced (after someone succcessfully helped me diagnose the problem on these boards). Her mechanic said that only the Lexis dealership can do this (not him) and that it should cost over a grand. Any idea how true this is... considering how long it took him to diagnose the problem I can only think he knows about half of what he is talking about.
Any idea how much a brake booster replacement on a 1996 lexus ES300 will cost? I saw that the parts can be bought for about $200. Any suggestions from anyone out there?
