sisterpete
anyone ever removed the ECM on a 1991 LS400? I am needing to do this as all else has failed trying to find out what my problem is.... any help would be great. My understanding is that it's behind the glove box. thanks
illCelsior
Remove the bottom most panel beneath the glove box by removing the three bolts (I think it was 12mm). With the bolts removed - pull back the lower panel carefully. Do not break any clips. :) Pull back the part RIGHT BELOW the glove box. This is NOT the same panel as the one above. The ECM is attached to it. Have a peek up at your ECM/ECU. You can remove it by taking off the 3 bolts holding it to the panel. HTH
