I need it when it is dark and I never remember to look for it when it is bright, so I don't know if the IS has a light inside the trunk.
Is there one?

Yes. Under the roof of the trunk. Stick your head in a little and look up. There is a light with a switch. Small light though. I wish it were brighter!
