tem
1997 LX450 with 69,500 miles running 5W-30 Dino Oil. Warm engine, idling in Drive, the Oil Pressure Needle drops to the bottom line. Cruising at 2000 RPM, Needle stays just above second line from bottom, Should I, 1. Sell Vehicle 2. Switch to 10W40 to see if this helps bring pressure up. 3. Pull Pan and replace Pump, Screen, and Relief Valve. 4. Replace Oil Pressure Sender. 5. Survey Says Thanks in advance for your answers. Thi
It's a long shot, but have you tried replace the oil and the oil filter? Thi
MWD
I had a 88 Landcruiser that ran low oil pressure all the way to its death at 180,000 miles (totalled). Some oil filters have relief valves. Start with the least expensive. Replace the oil filter 1st. Check for good electrical connection on the oil pressure sender, if OK, replace the sender. Do the oil pan and relief valve last. The pump is probably OK. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

JPI
You can check your oil pressure by hooking up the gauge to the oil pressure sensor. Sometimes your gauge doesn't work. You truck won't run with no oil pressure. JPI
