A/c Light Flashing

All of this is an indication that the speed of the compressor is not matching the speed of the engine. Make sure the belt is tight. Make sure that the front of the compresor does not have any oil residue there. This was an issue with some early model RX's with the front seal for the compressor leaking. Also in wet weather if water gets on the belt and causes the belt to slip, It will cause this problem.

not really a speed issue it is a sensor built onto the compressor for high pressure which disables the clutch and makes the a.c light flash

My Lexus es330's a/c light on dash is blinking and a/c does not work. Replaced mag. Clutch relay. No luck. Any ideas

Sometimes, the A/C system relay packs up...locate it, take it out and shake it...if it rattles then it's broken.

Once replaced, the A/C system may need to be reprogrammed to then start working

Well I only know it for the Honda system...which may be completely different but it was a case of holding the mirror and rear screen demist button and pressing a combination of other function buttons within a certain timeframe. This then puts the system in a relearn mode and it cycles through the system and then is reset.
