  1. A place in palos hills called sms auto. Its on 100th s. Roberts rd. I personally know these people. They deal mostly with foreign cars.
  2. so changing the tank solved the problems?
  3. I would get a tranny cooler. I hear that alot.
  4. Sledder, did you change the tank yourself?
  5. i just got some bilstein shocks and also realized the stock shocks are not coming out without a sawzall.
  6. Get a strutmasters conversion kit made for gx470.
  7. The dealer changed mine out. If you have to pay out of pocket, its not worth it. They will go out again. People replace the air bags with springs. Much cheaper and no more headaches.
  8. Do you have the part numbers? Where did you buy them?
  9. I just ordered bilstein 5100's for the rear to fix the bottoming out. $80 each versus $500 for stock. no more adjusting comfort though.
  10. 100% sensors. had the same issue. easy fix, expeeeensive parts.
  11. you need to flush it out with a machine. A drain only lets out a minimal amount. Most of the oil is in the torque converter.
  12. Definitly. I had the driveshaft, height sensors, rain sensor replaced. I keep going back for a problem with the rear end bottoming out and they can't figure it ou but when they so its going to be big money. This is all within 6 months of purchase. Later on down the road when they get like 10 years old that rear air ride is going to deteriorate completely.
  13. No one had any issues other than the sensors? The only other place that someones hands were last was the driveshaft and something affected the rear ride quality. Thanks for any suggestions.
  14. Anyone else have a stiff ride that bottoms out in the rear after the "clunk" fix? I had my driveshaft only replaced. Thought it was the sensors. Had those replaced. Nothing. Now it feels somewhat better only if the fuel tank is almost completely empty. What can I do myself to diagnose this further?
  15. We recently purchased an '04 as well, and were kind of thinking the same thing about the ride when it's loaded up. My 3/4 ton crew cab rides better! Is this normal for this vehicle? I've talked to several dealers about this and they don't seem to be much help. mine is mysteriously back to normal after i filled up my fuel tank to full....weird.
