  1. Bring your car up to the potholed roads of the northeast and give it a month and it will be singing like a canary.... haha Get on their butts and make em fix the roads. You all pay plenty of taxes from what I hear. TOO much graft and corruption in Massachusetts. Something like on 10 cents of every toll dollar gets spend on roads - the rest disappears. Seriously the roads and weather eat the car alive... Well, I'm here in sunny SoCal so I don't have the road issues you have in the NorthEast. I have a 2007 IS250 and have never had any noticeable noises in the sunroof or any other part of the car.
  2. I'm not sure if my last one posted, so this may be a repeat. I have a 2007 IS250. When I got the car, the clock was losing about 10 minutes/day. When I took it to the dealer they seemed to know about the problem. The tech said they "reprogrammed" the clock. It took about 5 minutes and the clock has been fine ever since (3 years). I don't know where you are in SoCal, but I take mine to Tustin Lexus. And Smooth1 is right. The clock looks like they bought the overstock when Yugo went out of business.
  3. I've got a 2007 IS250 RWD with ~ 24K on the Potenzas. I do mixed freeway/city driving and I do not drive the car hard. I think I'll get about 30K out of them.
  4. I've got an IS250, and you're right, the right rear window trick does work. When I'm not on the AC (I'm in SoCal), I always put the sunroof open on the back and use the right rear window (I seldom have passengers). You might try the sunroof instead of the right rear and see if that works. Try it open in both the back and front.
  5. I've been trying Power mode for the last 3-4 tankfuls. This is the first time I've tried it. I do notice the higher shift points when coasting to a stop. Also, it looks like it gets 1-2 MPG worse than Economy mode. I'm in Souther California and I do not drive the car hard.
  6. I've got a 2007 IS250 RWD with 23000 miles. My total MPG is 23.0 (computer average, mixed driving (freeway and local)). On the few long trips I've taken, the computer average is over 30. When I've checked the mileage manually, the computer is consistently about 2 MPG over actual.
  7. I paid a fortune at Sam's Club so I'm banking these tires will last much longer than the Bridgestones based on what I read. Agreed. They were not cheap, but they have a 45,000 mile tread life warranty. My guess is they will be good for more than 50k miles. I didn't want to buy a tire that didn't have a tread life warranty. With a 45m warranty, I'm surprised the ride and road noise was not affected. I'm a new IS250 owner and am concerned with tire mileage. The car has 18" Bridgestone Turanza y rated, and i've been told to expect 12-15m miles from them. There is no hard driving with the car, dry sothern California weather. Any experiance with these tires? I have a 2007 IS250. I've got Bridgestone Potenzas on mine and I've got ~23000 miles on them. I think I'll get 25-30K out of the tires. I am also in SoCal and I do not drive the car hard. I think you'll get more than 15K out of yours. BTW, how much were the Michelins at CostCo?
  8. I have a 2007 IS250 (~20,000 miles). About two months ago my Check VSC light come on and stayed on. When I took it to the dealer (Tustin Lexus, Tustin, CA) they said the code indicated a known problem that required a transmission replacement, but they had never seen the code in an IS250. They checked with HQ in Japan and they wound up sending new programming for the transmission computer. They installed the new programming about 4-5 weeks ago and the problem has not occurred since then. You might have your dealer contact Tustin Lexus and see if it might be related.
