  1. Second the vote for Bridgestone Ecopia 422. Smooth and quiet. Excellent tires.
  2. The rubber cover or boot that covers the lift gate release button/switch on my '07 Rx400h has come loose and must be replaced to keep the unit weatherproof. Anybody tried this? There are 2 screws that appear to hold the switch in place, so it shoud be an easy fix.
  3. I found a thread on the forum that suggested a possible fix for a low tire warning that appears faulty because all 4 tires reported 30 psi. After several attempts to initialize the TPMS - including adding more air to all 4 tires, I did a forum search and found the fix. I attempted to find the thread tonight to report another success, but failed to find it. I think this nugget is worth sharing, so I will launch a new thread. I have known for a long time that the RX400h was much smarter than I am. It has never occurred to me to routinely check the air pressure in the spare tire . . . so the 400h does it for me (and you as well). I dropped the spare and it read 25 psi. After bringing the pressure to 30 psi I did the initializing drill and the warning light went out. The computer was happy, and I was happy. Truly a Merry Christmas! This forum rocks!
  4. Update: Second re-balance at the tire store revealed 2 bad tires. Tires replaced today, and shudder is gone. Thanks for the responses.
  5. I too have noticed 'washboard' black top that gives the same effect. Your question provides a very good description of what I am experiencing on a variety of roads. Thanks for the response.
  6. I have an '07 Rx400h with 66,500 miles. I have noticed a 'shudder' or 'tire hop' at slow speeds that continues as long as I maintain the speed - 30-40 mph. At first I only noticed the shudder when the car and tires were cold, and I attributed the shake to flat spotted tires, because the shudder would go away. It must be noted that within 2 miles I am driving 50 mph or greater I recently installed new tires, and the problem is more pronounced, and lasts long after the tires are warm. At 40 mph the car feels like it is hopping on every tire rotation. Tires have been rebalanced, and are fine at other speeds. I can stop the shudder by accelerating to higher speed. It almost feels like clutch slip and grab. Is in possible that the electric motor is acting up? All opinions are appreciated.
  7. Getting a set of Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring tires installed tomorrow. I'll let you know how I like them.
  8. No Pebble Beach owners out there that can offer their experience?
  9. Beach badge-passenger.jpg] It does not appear that the car has been re-painted.
  10. I am looking at an '09 RX Pebble Beach Edition to replace my '07 RX400H. The '09 has PB badges on the front doors above the side molding. Pictures I have seen on the internet, including the Lexus.com site show badges on the fenders. Can anybody confirm that there were vehicles with badges on the doors from the factory, or is this the result of a poor re-paint? Thanks
  11. For consideration . . . if you are parked and listening to the radio with the gear selector in neutral you can get the "Shift to Park" message because the batteries are not charging. This happened to me shortly after I installed a new 12 volt battery, and has not happened since.
  12. Also . . . you might try holding the button on the overhead console for several seconds. My RX400H garage door opener will not work by simply pushing the button.
  13. My '07 RX400h has the beautiful silver/grey painted wheels. There are some nicks in the paint that are unsightly. Anybody find a touch up paint that matches the wheel paint? Thanks
  14. cduluk, The double cup holder in the console has no "pad" in the bottom. Every car I have had has had a removable rubber pad in the bottom of the cup holder. I presumed the RX400h had the same as original equipment.
  15. I just bought an '07 RX400h. The car came without: 1. The plug that fits in/on the 12 volt aux plug on the dash 2. The remote for the rear DVD player 3. The pad that fits in the bottom of the console cup holder Any thoughts on where to find these items? I have had no luck on e-bay. I am a long way from a dealer. Thanks
