  1. I've noticed that the paint seems unusually soft. Yesterday I called the dealer to order a bottle of "touch up" paint and was told that the Crystal White is on back-order and it will take about 6 weeks to get it. It seems to me that if touch-up paint is on back-order for a 2003 color that there is definitely a problem. I just got my 90 day customer satisfaction survey and I am going to let Lexus know exactly how I feel about this paint.
  2. Try www.mats.com I don't see it on the website but if you call them they may have it. They have a cargo mat for just about everything.
  3. When I purchased my IS the salesman warned me about using CD-R disks. It's possible that the stick-on lable can come off inside the changer. Apparently it gets pretty hot in there. Since it's not under warranty you could either take it apart yourself and see if something is inside or I've seen them used on Ebay pretty cheap.
  4. I have been using Eagle 1 "WET" for about 6 years and I am very happy with it. It's extra creamy and goes on evenly. It doesn't take a lot of effort to remove either. I put it on with a foam pad and take it off with a soft terry cloth. No swirls and no regrets. :D
  5. Ouch... That was embarrassing. Good thing my score on the quiz doesn't affect my driving skills. ;)
  6. I thought about getting one of the "invinca shields" which is like clear tint film that goes on the front of the car which I am assuming is what you're referring to. I decided against it because I saw it on another white car and it had yellowed slightly and didn't look very good. I know your post is dated October and you probably already did something about your rock damage but if you haven't, I would contact whoever installed it and see if they will do anything for you. Gary
  7. I believe Texas Toyota in Grapevine is a TRD dealer. I've exchanged email with their parts guy and was told they can get L-Tuned parts at least. Gary
  8. Well, I got my plates and the dealer asked me if I wanted the front plate installed. I said NO! But install it anyway, I don't need the ticket. :chairshot: I am not real thrilled with the way the plate looks on the front but oh well.
  9. Just picked up my new 03 Sportcross last week. Love this car! I shopped for cars a whole year before finally buying. I've been a die hard Infiniti driver but have seen the light. My dealer experience so far has been awesome and the car gets looks everywhere I go. I am looking fwd to learning a lot from this forum. Gary Ft. Worth, TX
  10. I know what you mean, I just bought mine too. If you look real close at the front bumper you will see two tiny dimples where HOLES will be drilled to rivet the bracket on. The bracket should be in the back of the car under the floor. When you go back to the dealer to get your real plates put on, they will install it. I am dreading that day. Take a few pictures from the front without the plate so you can remember how good it looked. It TX it's illegal to run without the front plate and the cops are pretty rude about it.
