  1. Has anyone removed the overhead console on a 2017 RX450h yet? Are there still mounting screws behind the light lens as in previous years? I'm inclined to think they are, but the lens on this one is very flush with the console and I don't want to destroy the plastic prying up something not meant to be detached.
  2. Has anyone worked with those painted wheel inserts on the 2017 RX450h? Do they just snap in/out or are there mechanical fasteners on the interior of the wheels?
  3. My sync for the contact list worked OK, however on my 2013 300H the connection keeps dropping while I'm trying to use the "BTS" music media play. Paired device is a Blackberry Bold.
  4. I have 2100 on the 300h and average about 36 mpg. About 1200 of that 2100 was run on 2 interstate trips. Typical midwest US geography @ about 50 degrees F, using regular fuel.
  5. I pulled the trigger this weekend. Am now the proud owner of an ES300 5% off sticker. It really was not a hard negotiation, just stuck to the price target I had in my head. BTW.... Internet/phone deals are the way to go.
  6. Found a dealer who will beat the buying service by $500 I think I may seriously consider jumping in.
  7. Great! Have you taken delivery yet?
  8. I did notice a great disparity on the inventories for this model. There are pockets of good inventory numbers. & the difference does not seem to follow bigger cities (& assumed higher volumes) Go figure! My first foray into a buying service got $2000 off on a MSRP of $47,500. Maybe there is hope!
  9. LOL "That's not fair" Funniest thing I heard today!
  10. I also think it is fun. Don't get to do it very often, so why not get the most enjoyment possible out of the opportunity.
  11. I'm with you on the cash buyer thought. I always treat the car itself as a separately negotiated transaction. I just have this vision of Lexus sending a ultimatum to all their dealers that no one is to break ranks and give a deal on this new model. Am I paranoid or what? :o
  12. Have just started looking at a 2013 ES300h. I know the model is hot and that the dealers are not going to be inclined to do great deals. For anyone out there who has bought one in the past month, what am I going to pay? Full MSRP? Some discount off MSRP? FYI.... I'm in no hurry, so if the negotiations/search takes a couple months, no problem. I'm located in the Southeast, but any dealer willing to make a FAIR deal can get my business.
  13. You have got to be kidding me! Just to reset an idiot light about tire pressure, I have to essentially remove the spare tire? Maybe the logic is to make user maintenance so difficult you will pay the dealer to do it.
  14. Thanks everyone for the info & advice. I waited around for the last day of the month and got a Pebble Beach + Nav for $36,000 (before tax, title, etc). Picking it up next week. Probably should have waited for Feb EOM (another month of bad economy & closer to 2010 models), but figured why take the chance. My key learnings coming out of this: Know your facts about dealer costs & current incentives. Compute a fair price you are willing to pay. Stick to that price no matter what sentiment the salesperson is trying to appeal to. Be ready to walk.
  15. Not a Lexus site, but Edmunds will show an inventory of a specific dealer. Not too much detail on the specific car, but at least u can get an idea of the macro option package and the quantity.
