  1. I just use the aerosol based upholstery cleaners. Do you apply the woolite solution with a cloth or brush?
  2. "How to clean the cloth speaker covers without removing from the door"
  3. To All, The door cloth speaker covers on my '98 are dirty. I tried the usual remedies to improve the appearance but to no avail. Any recommendations out there? Thanks in advance.
  4. When washing my es, I discovered a hood ding with minute amounts of rust around the edge. The ding is very small. In fact, smaller than the head of a pin. What is the best course of action? I would prefer to not repaint the hood. Thanks
  5. Anybody installed a GPS in their car? I installed my Magellan RM 700 with a pro-clip above the stock radio.
  6. My mechanic replaced the plastic spring clip for about $15. Part was ordered and I stopped by and he replaced it in about 10 minutes. Wasn't really a problem at all.
  7. Does the '98 model have daytime driving lights? Meaning the low beams are on without the parking or license lights on? I've seen a couple of '98s with this feature but cannot replicate in my car. I checked the drivers manual and it says no. thanks for your response.
  8. Sorry for the brief details. I was hoping that someone had the silver bullet for this. Sounds come from the right side dash. I rode as passenger and attempted to isolate the ususal suspects: glove compartment door, contact points between dashboard interfaces, contact points between vinyl and plastic, radio support point. I used paper to minimize the friction between the above areas. All to no avail. I'm afraid the problem might lie in a loose wiring harness inside the dash. In that case, the cure is worse than the disease. Thanks for any help!
  9. I searched the forums and found nothing to help me out. It's not the ashtray. any help out there???
  10. Thanks guys for your help. I managed to locate the missing key after all. My problem was that the wheel locks were on the wheels and if I had a flat, it would look very baaad for me. I checked the glove compartment and did not find any key code card. I would like to get an extra key "just in case" but not sure how to.
  11. Where can I replace the key for the wheel locks on my wheels? Is the dealer the only option (and then pay mucho $$)? thanks for the assist
  12. Every 3000 miles, especially with the engine gelling issue.
  13. Thanks for the help guys(gals)! bdonkersgoed: I do the same to silence the rattle but its such a cheesy fix. tundra-lover: I agree with your diagnosis about the window tracking frame within the door. I'll wait for your response before shuffling off to my mechanic.
  14. Does anyone have a solution to this annoying problem? It comes and goes at varying times and road surfaces. Thanks for your help!
