  1. Another pic, trying to figure out where the other end of the spring goes to compress it??
  2. So today I had a coin fall into the front lid again, completely preventing it from opening. So I finally went and tried the instructions. Pulled the console out completely (after disconnecting everything), removed the front plastic plate, still couldn't get the lid open. Had to unscrew the cup holder assembly from the center console, and it still wouldn't open. So had to then unscrew the sliding lid from the cup holder assembly. In doing so, two small plastic like washers and a spring like device (I guess which allows the lid to open close smoothly) came flying out, and I have no clue where/how to put them back! Does anyone have an assembly drawing of this thing?! Picture is attached ... Help! Thx
  3. I'm at 190,000km (so around 120 miles). Had the panoramic roof fixed under warranty, some warranty work on the transmission and PCV if I recall, spent maybe $1k fixing door locks/windows, but other than that, zero issues thus far (knock on wood). I also live in Toronto, so not exactly the friendliest weather either...
  4. What's really frustrating is that there are two dash kits available from Beatstronic. One is on sale for around $100, but is apparently "just" for cars without the Levinson system or Navigation. If you have the Mark Levinson system, somehow that price jacks up to $266 (and comes with a supposedly easy to use kit where you don't have to splice wires, just plug in the existing ones, but still ... $266 vs $100!?). Seems like a lot for an older vehicle. Guess no one has tried removing the existing dash kit and installing an aftermarket?
  5. Also, does anyone have the specs for the amp (e.g., watts) and speakers (type/size) on this model?
  6. Hi Guys, Looking to install an after market GPS system on my 2004 RX330 (has the Levinson system/amp). Will be purchasing the dash kit from Beatsonic (the one for cars with the amp) and likely the steering wheel controls adaptor. Has anyone managed to unclip/remove the existing brackets themselves and Radio and if so, how easy was it? Any step by step guides or instructions as it seems to be tricky!? Thanks!
  7. Wondering if I was to increase the size of my all seasons and get say 19" or 20" wheels/tires on my 2004 RX330 (currently on 17" stock aluminums) whether it will significantly reduce fuel economy and or snow traction? Thanks! Steve
  8. Funny, I tried the dealer. They said they don't sell the plastic molding, I'd have to purchase the entire window and molding as a package for the quarter panel. $200, plus installation. I just laughed as they told me. Not their fault obviously! Unreal though. Guess I'll try some double sided 3M exterior tape and glue!! $15.
  9. I thought maybe this would have it, but it appears I can only find trim for the window around the door. I'm looking for the trim around the triangle window just behind the door. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...amp;catalogid=2
  10. The right side rear trim (outlining the "triangular" window) just behind my right rear door came off when driving on the highway today. Looks like the little plastic connections broke off. Is there a used parts place online that I can buy this? It's for a 2004 RX330. Cheers, Steve
  11. slide the console as far back as possible. move both front seat forward and you may have to tilt the seats up so you have access. there are 2 panels on each side. they pop off with the help of a flat head screwdriver. with the panels off you'll see 6 10 mm bolts. 3 on each side remove the bolts. on the right side you'll see a cable attached to a lever unhook the cable from the lever. lift the front of the console there is a connector and a clip. disconnect the connector and clip that hold part of the wireloom to the air duct. now just lift and it should come out. the front of the console (cupholder side) comes off. Its held by clips and the cupholder are held in by screws. Thanks, ended up fishing out my cards with a hanger (was quite the pain). Sounds like there's still some paper or something in there, but not a bother. Didn't end up paying Lexus to remove it but will keep this handy!
  12. Just seems to discuss the RX300, not RX330 (very different console)? Tx
  13. I've found a few threads for the RX300, but none for the RX330. I have an appointment on Wednesday for them to remove the console (have something stuck and the cup holder lid doesn't fully open, think it's a credit card!) but wouldn't mind trying myself! Help! Thanks, Steve
