  1. Not sure if this is proper but there is a link on another forum. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx330-and-...andles-diy.html Sorry if the above breaks any rules.
  2. I guess the recall doesn't apply to all Canadian made 04s. I called Lexus and the above didn't apply to my VIN even though it is make in Canada. Hope they are right. I would hate to have this blow up in another 40,000 miles.
  3. I had a similar problem on my 06 Tundra. Two possible areas. 1. If the wire harness is rubbing on the metal going through a grommet hole, it may have cut through. This was the problem on my 06 Tundra but I doubt is applies here since on my Tundra, the harness exited the cab and ran under the truck to my taillights. The wire started to cut though where it exited the cab. I am thinking the RX wires are all run through the interior. 2. My car start installer told me that the wires for a trailer hitch may corrode over time and cause the short. I would check that wiring if you have a trailer hitch. Also - not sure if your bumper was ever hit.I had a very slight bumper tap with my 04 ford. Just some scratches. 6 months later my reverse sensors didn't work. Dealer said one sensor near the scratches was damaged. Turned out the wired got pinched with the tap and it took 6 months for the wires to fail due to corrosion. Hope this helps.
  4. Hi, I am looking to replace my door handles with toytoa OEM chome ones I picked up. I removed two screws (under the door handle and arm rest) and pulled the panel away from the door. Problem is I couldn't pop the entire panel off the frame where the window is. I even rolled down the window. Did I miss something. Usually panels just "clip" in at the top and are easily popped up. Any help is appreciated.
  5. Email Gabe at info@cpwinc.com. I'm just about to order a set of silver oem 5 spoke rims. Cheapest I found so far. Actually less than the look al ikes. Tell him you got the info from Sam and he will probably give you the same price. Don't want to post it here since I haven't asked his permission.
  6. The warranty is from Lexus / Toyota so I am good as far as coverage in Canada. I am glad to hear the price is negotiable. They quoted $2G. I may offer $1600. Above that - I am thinking that the RX330 has a pretty good reputation and I still have 2 yrs left on my power train warranty for the big things. Time will tell if I make the right decision.
  7. Hi, Well after a lot of searching, I am closing a deal on a 04 RX330 in WI. Going to bring it back into Canada. Flint Mica - Black leather with 37,300 miles. It's not Lexus certified but a Lexus dealer did put the mechanical on it and inspected the vehicle for me. The dealer tells me I can get a 7 YR 75,000 mile extended warranty for $2K. It's my wifes vehicle and the we will never hit the mileage so I am basically buying a 3 year bumper to bumper vs. the 2YR power train warranty left. I know opinions will vary and it's a personal decision but I am interested in hearing any advice or experience with buying the extended warranty. This is my first Lexus. I just remember not buying an extended warranty on my 99 Pathfinder LE and regretted it afterwards. TIA Sam
  8. Hi, I've been a member at other forums and am now looking to purchase an 04 RX330 AWD - Silver w/ 40,000 miles ($22,000) so I thought I would join. Just wondering if there is anything I should be looking out for on this year when I am buying. Any particular trouble spots or anything I should have the dealer check out when I have it inspected. Also - I think the above is a good price - any opinions. And one last question ... Bamboo Pearl - Does it really look like an light green in the sun. Again - just trying to get some advice - opinions. Thank Sam
