  1. It's not a transmission problem that is causing this to happen. I researched this issue and figured out what the issue was. The problem is the E.C.M.. There was an extended warranty on this part because of this known Lexus issue (10 years after the factory). My car was older, so I had my E.C.M. repaired. I had it removed and then sent to a shop in TX. After all my research, I found this company to be most reputable, and they did a great job. There may be a company close to you that can do this. If not, message me and I'll give you the info on the company I used.
  2. Hello All, Any suggestions on what's most compatible for an 13 RX350 please? I'm going to place an order at rock auto.
  3. Hello All, Can anyone recommend a good, reasonable, quality, independent facility in the Orlando area? I need to have a 90K service on my RX, and I'm not taking it to the dealer.
  4. Possibly, one or more of the tires has a steel belt that has been separated. When one of the steel belts separate it falls out of alignment with the rest and creates an abnormality. They can look or feel like a "knot" of sorts. The remedy is to replace each tire that has separated belt(s). If you can place the car on a lift with the lift pads set on the frame, you can slowly roll each tire to see how it tracks visually. If you notice a variance on one (or more), you should be able to feel it with your hands. Worn out front end components can also make it "wobble" at slow speeds. I'd check the tires first.
  5. Hello All, Is there an optimum brand of leather "treatment" that works best for the 2013 RX350 with heated/ventilated seats please?
  6. I may have gone into the information center and reset it there (hers has navigation). Typically, after correcting the tire pressure it recalibrated after driving a short distance.
  7. Update: Sent my ECU out for repair (took 3 weeks) $400.00. I had an independent remove and reinstall the ECU. I wasn't able to drive it very much thus far today, but it shifted tter than ever since I've owned it. I thought the $130.00 I was charged by the shop to R & R and take for a test drive was too expensive. However, I didn't ask in advance like I normally do. I was the one that determined this what was causing my problem. Anyways, glad to have my car again.
  8. Hi Everyone, Here is what I've deduced about my issue (many others with the same issue). It is an issue with the ECU. You need to replace it, or rebuild it. I'm very convinced this will correct my transmission issue. I'm looking into having it sent out to be rebuilt. There is a Lexus corporate CSP ELL service bulletin that allows 18 years or up to 150,000 miles to have a warranty repair.
  9. There may be a potential software update from the delaer. Iwould check with them first.
  10. Hello All, I was able to take my LS430 to the independent shop I use. They extracted a code P0751 "Shift Solenoid A Stuck Off" as my problem and advised me to contact the dealer, as this is a inherent problem. Anyone know anything about this "recall, or technical service bulletin, or campaign" please?
  11. Greetings All, Just today while out doing errands, coming to a stop, when the transmission downshifts to second gear and first gear while braking I'm feeling a very noticeable clunk. Upshifts are smooth and normal. Has anyone experienced such, and can they share the remedy please? This is on my 2005 LS430 with 164K. I'm attempting to establish if this an external joint (as in universal) issue, or internal transmission issue. Any input would be most appreciated.
  12. Hi All, Quite a variance in temperature this weekend. Of course, tire pressure as well as batteries are sensitive to outside temperature fluctuations. My wife informed me yesterday that the low tire pressure monitor light illuminated on the dash of her 2013 RX350. All 4 tires were down about 4 psi each, and the spare was down 21 psi. We have the optional 19's. I corrected the tire pressure in all 5 tires. However, unlike all other times this has happened, the light has failed to reset (shut off). Is there another reset button? Any suggestions? No event occurred other than a change in weather temperature, and we have 85K miles.
  13. Follow Up: I have maybe another 5,000 miles on the tire before they get to the wear bars. In full agreement on the Michelins. I've resolved all my issues except the RF parking sensor (minor scrape on corner), and the rear shade driver actuating arm is disconnected (I turned this off).
  14. Hello Everyone, I bit the bullet and purchased a 2005 LS430 with 129K today (black/black). It's a no accident, 2 owner, FL car with so so service records according to it's CarFax. I bought this car despite knowing that it has issues. RF Parking sensor announcement every time I stop. Radio volume seems to be is extremely limited. Rear sunshade does not deploy. Cruise control inoperative. Marginal tires, etc... It's been a tough 2 years financially (actually 10), and I'm between jobs now for 2 months. Any suggestions on where to start to remedy the problems with the car would be most appreciated.
