  1. 2004 GS430 with 30,876 miles. Hope I can reach 300K like the other guys did :)
  2. No, the override does not work with 7.1. I was going to try and burn hybrid 4.1/7.1 and 5.1/7.1 disks and try both. Will keep you posted. You are confusing two different things. 7.1, 6.1, 5.1 etc. are map versions and not hardware versions of the Navigation system. Which system you have depends upon the year model. Current 08 models are using generation 5.5 or 5. A generation 4 nav system can be overridden but a gen 5 or newer can not. A gen 3 did not have the override but a gen 2 system would override if you went to the overview screen and pulled the data up 3 times. I have an 04 GS430 with the latest Nav version 7.1. Can anyone show me how to bypass the Nav system to let me change the screen while in motion please.
  3. lol ya mines pretty short i gotta be within 15 feet from the car. but its so cool when ur walking up to the car with a whole bunch of groceries and ur hands are full to open the doors and everyone wonders how this man is gonna go in his car but OH WAIT whats that? the windows opened as he got close to the car? wow he was able to put the bags in the car and open the door freely. they're like how does the car know you're coming? its funny, especially in low class neighborhoods. i tell em its a lexus baby This function works on most remote cars, not just only Lexus. I have tried BMW and they all work the same way.
  4. Sounds like your TPS needs adjusting. I think that it. Thanks dcfish for the info, but for how to go about fixing it is another story. I don't even know how to do any of that. I wonder how much the dealer charge you to get it fix?
  5. Does anyone know where's the RPM adjusting level located in the engine somewhere? When my 2004 GS430 in park "P" the RPM is about in between 0-1 which is fine, but when I put it in Drive "D" and stop at a red light or non-moving. The RPM is below half way of 0-1 and that make my car a vibrate a little bit. I would like to adjust the level a little higher, but dunno how to locate the leveling in the engine area. Help is appreciate it.
  6. They are called LPS Personal settings. ;) Like this: I guess only dealer can change this setting huh?
  7. Bought mine 2004 GS430 28K miles loaded 2 weeks ago for $25K tax included. Pay $581per with 5.5% 4yrs. Did I get a good deal on the car?
  8. I have the same year and model. Do you know how to bypass the Navigation system? I just upgrade my Nav system DVD to ver7.1
  9. I'm new here. Would anyone help me how to turn off the auto telescope tilt when turn key ignition on/off? and show me how to bypass the navigation system? I upgrade my Nav to gen 2&3 ver7.1 the other day, but need to bypass so I can use it while driving. Thanks a bunch if anyone can help. Thanks, Travis
