  1. I am not following where you are on this. The filter is a simple paper filter that you can purchase off of ebay for around $7. I have never heard of a charcoal filter. Anyway, moving on to the install. I don't know what you are talking about with the panels. You drop the glove compartment with the screw clips holding both ends and the filter housing opening is right there. Remove the plastic cover and it is a simple install. It takes all of 3 minutes at a slow pace.
  2. There is another outlet in the trunk area. Those are the only two that I am aware of.
  3. Yes, do a search and you will see this has been discussed many times before and no need for a new thread.
  4. You might be able to connect into the back of your mirror without having to go into your overhead console. I have a RX350 so I went into the overhead console. You will have to determine what works best for your model or find out what others did.
  5. Search Mirrortap (works very well) on ebay and then do a search on this site and other Lexus forums that have covered this in several threads. You can tap into a connector in the overhead console. The threads will explain how to remove the overhead console. You will have to find out, or test for, which hot wire is switched and which wire to use as a ground.
  6. blendmount.com and hang it off your mirror. Have used these in several cars over the years. They are made well and keep the V1 positioned just below the mirror.
  7. I have a Valentine 1 and I tapped into a hot wire inside the overhead console several years ago. I just got a dashcam and I am thinking of running the hot wire down one of the A pillars to the fuse box instead of the overhead console, not having a wire diagram of what else I can tap into. Has anyone done something like this before? Did you have any problems pulling the A pillar covers off? I am concerned about messing up the air bags or whatever lurks behind it. Any help is appreciated.
  8. This is the normal "feature" operation of the transmission. A simple search on this subject would show it has been discussed before.
  9. Let us know how it turns out if you get this installed.
  10. Being that you said you put 35#s of air in your tires, I assume you excluded the spare, which also has a sensor.
  11. I have the stereo/cd changer with the nav unit, who is the manufactuer? Is it Nakamichi?
  12. Your comment pretty much sums it up. I could not have put it any better myself.
  13. I have the same complaint. I am not aware of any settings change to prevent this from happening. It's designed that way to be more efficient with the recirc turned on.
  14. I'm thinking of installing HIDs for my foglights in my 07 RX350. Has anyone done this and if so, do you get a bulb out indicator due to dropping the wattage output from 55 to 35? Thanks
  15. The mirrors are not wired for turn signals as it was not an option.
  16. I have used Griot's leather products for several years.
  17. There is a way to reset described in the manual, but the light should be 'out' if the tires and spare are at the proper psi. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position and hold in the button (under the steering wheel ) until it blinks 3 times and then the light should go out.
  18. How did you change the scuff lights from amber to blue/white? Where did you find the blue leds?
  19. You are my hero. The gauges look outstanding and I want you to do mine :D I also like the the radar/laser buttons too and the headsup.
  20. You might try Ebay.... ;) The 8.1s are not showing-up yet on eBay.
  21. I got to try the wire disconnect. The rain sensing is a complete waste of technology and use.
