  1. Jim, Thanks so much. I can do this...and thanks for the toyodyi website. I can use this.--Roger
  2. My reading light works sometimes and other times it doesn't. How can I get to bulb? to check it for short. Thanks, Roger
  3. Occasionally they are on eBay but usually only as a set. Here is a link to a seller that sells used ones individually. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus-Toyot...9QQcmdZViewItem Another possible source is a Toyota dealer. Just be ready with the part number. Thanks for your reply! The ebay didn't have my part number but I'll try Toyota. The tires I mentioned are really quiet and run nice.--Roger
  4. I replaced my run flats with Bridgestone Potenza RE960 Pole Position tires and one of my sensors doesn't work. I can't find a replacement sensor other than going to Lexus...too high. Anyone know where I can find replacement sensors? Roger Silvey, rssilvey1@bellsouth.net
  5. I had my XM on this morning from 7:45 to 8:20 am in South Carolina. No problems and it was really cloudy with low visibility. Never had a problem in rain, fog or just cloudy weather.
  6. You can get a small unit that will clip in the air vent on the dash and plug into the lighter. The antenna is a small magnet that will stick on the roof and it's easy to run the wire around the sun visor and to the unit. Go to Circuit City's web site and get the Roady for $19.95. I've had one for three years and move from auto to auto...it takes about one minute to switch from car to car. I have mine in my Lexus SC430 now and it's a killer sound on the Mark Levinson speakers.--Roger Silvey
  7. Sounds as if there's no disc in the unit. If that's the case you should get a message 'no disc detected' and there's no maps etc. If that's the case, just try inserting the new disc. If it goes in then that was the answer...if there's already a disc in the unit, another disc won't go in.--Roger Silvey
  8. You might try spraying silicone spray lightly at the inside hinges on both sides. Something may been splashed, coffee or something else, on the door. My cup holder wouldn't open and close because someone had spilled coffee or soda and after spraying the silicone spray three or four different times, it now works perfect. Roger Silvey
  9. Hey Fishguy--I drive a recently purchased 2002 Lexus SC430 and needed to replace the brake pads. I ordered OEM, Japanese, pads from www.autohausaz.com for $85, no shipping cost. After installing them I had a hard shimmy between 55 and 40. I drove about 600 miles and no better. I took it to the Goodyear store this morning and they resurfaced the rotors. I drove about 100 miles this afternoon and the braking is perfectly smooth...no shimmy, bounce or anything. Drives like a new car. I suggest you do the same and your problem will disappear.--Roger Silvey
  10. Golden Pineapple--I'd recommend you check out your local Good Year Tire store. They are tire professionals and they know all about tires and the sensors. That's where I go for my Lexus SC430.--Roger
  11. I have learned that you have to go through fender wells to get to the bulbs. My Toyota dealership charged me $29 to install both left side marker lights and both gog lamps, plus bulbs. If you furnish your own bulbs, the cost is only $29. Also, I needed lug nuts and Toyota wnted to order then for $10 ea. I found identical lugs at Advance Auto for $2.87 each. Roger Silvey
  12. I have 2002 Lexus SC430 and both left side lights do not come on. How do you get to the bulbs to change them? Do the lens just pop off? Your help appreciated. Roger Silvey
  13. When you rotate tires...do you have to change anything related to low pressure warning system?--Roger
