Roger, do you think I am wasting my time & money replacing brake fluid every two years with an average of 10k miles per year?
Brake fluid absorbs moisture and causes calipers and brake lines to rust and corrode inside (unless it is silicone)
Any update to this? was yodaling@hotmail.com able to assist? I too am looking for an inexpensive way to update the maps for my 2004 RX330. I was traveling to Nova Scotia from Ontario over the holidays and found out that there are no mapped roads east of Montreal with the old 2004 version of the maps (about 60% of the trip).
I used my portable GPS as a backup in case I got lost but would love to upgrade the existing maps for the future.
Any luck and at what cost?
I got one from him a month ago for my 2004 RX330 and it works great. $100.00.
Do the maintenance as stated in the maintenance booklet and you will be doing ten times more than the average owner.
Filters are designed to get dirty change them at recommended intervals or thousands of miles later the difference will be minimal. In Orlando you don"t exactly have dust storms or the pollution of Los Angeles , cabin air filter also. You can't go wrong following the book. Unless your leaking fluid noticeabley just top off the resevoir otherwise look for where it is leaking and have it fixed. Don't let any of those quick lube type joints sell you anything extra.
Are all the tires the same make, tread wear, size etc, and did you reset the tire pressure indicator under the dash?
The car senses circumference not pressure.
My Jaguar just started doing the same thing the fix for it is to disconnect the battery for a little while. This started when the battery went dead because of lack of use.
