  1. Is350 Hid Headlights

Hey guys, I found a solution to this exact problem. Turns out that all Lexus cars and trucks experience intermittent problems with their HID headlights. For me my passenger headlight went out after the car warmed up. It would always turn back on, if I toggled the headlight switch from auto to off, and back to auto or just on. I made a DIY Tutorial on how to fix the problem B) by simply swapping out the D4S HID headlight bulbs. It sounds easy, but Lexus didn't make it too easy. That's why I recorded a video of the entire process on my YouTube channel. Check it out:

  3. Headlights: Automatic Shut-off Problem

Hey guys, I fixed this problem and recorded the entire process. You basically have to change out your HID Ds4 bulbs and not the ballast. This happened to me twice already, and both times I just installed new HID bulbs on my 2006 Lexus GS300 and the problem went away. I recorded a video because I already made a whole collection on my car for routine maintenance items like brakes, resetting the maintenance required light, changing to a k&n air filter & installing an amp and subwoofer to the stock Lexus radio to name a few. Here's a link to swapping out the HID bulbs procedure, which I admit was a bit of a pain in the !Removed!, that's why I went through the trouble of making it. If you have any questions, just post a comment on Youtube and I'll try to get back to you guys. How to Repair Lexus Intermittent HID Headlight Problems
  4. Intermittent Headlight - Bulb Or Ballast ?

I had the same exact problem and decided to change out the HID DS4 bulb, turns out that's all you have to do to fix the problem. I actually documented the entire process because changing the HID bulbs on a Lexus is not the easiest thing in the world. BTW: I have a lot of How-to tutorials for Lexus cars on my Youtube channel, if you're interested in stuff like changing the brakes, resetting the oil light, etc... Here's the video tutorial of how I repaired my intermittent headlight problems on my 2006 Lexus GS300 which is pretty much like every other late model Lexus and Toyota. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqVMf8uauhs
  5. How To Reset Change Oil Light?

Here are 2 very helpful videos on How to Reset Oil Maintenance Required Light on a Lexus How-to Video 1 is from a 2006 Lexus GS300 How-to Video 2 is from a 2010 Lexus ES350 Both have similarities, I'm sure that by watching both you can figure out your particular Oil Light Reset for your Lexus. I've personally used the GS Oil Reset Video at least twice from my iPhone after an oil change, or getting my car back from the dealer. Good Luck!
  6. Reset Oil Maintenance Required Light

There's 2 really good videos on Youtube that show you how to reset the oil maintenance warning messages. I'll post both video links below. I personally played the Youtube video from my iPhone while sitting in my car after I realized that the dealer forgot to do this for me after they just completed the engine misfire CSP (recall) on my 2006 GS300. One of these how-to videos should work for you :whistles: 2010 Lexus ES350 Reseting the Oil Maintenance Rquired Light or this 2006 Lexus GS300 Clearing the Oil MAINT REQD Light
  7. Burning Oil

I just had my piston rings and valve seals done as apart of the Lexus GS and IS Engine Misfire Customer Support Program. It's not even considered an official recall I posted the letter from Lexus in the video too. Switch the quality of the video to 1080p and watch it in fullscreen to read the letter. You will also see how the entire engine comes apart on the 2006 Lexus GS 300. Mine is an AWD model so there maybe some different parts on mine as far as the drivetrain goes. Check out this video taken at the dealership B) You can actually hear the Lexus tech explain the entire problem with the valve spring design as well as the solution.

  11. How To Replace The Cabin Air Filter?

Tai, Just open the glove compartment and bend (it is flexible plastic) the 2 sides inward while pulling down. This will pull the compartment down, and if you look straight inside you will see the white air filter. Just pull it straight out and replace or vacuum it. This instruction is also in the Vehicle Manual. Rj Check the video out!
