  1. I'm going to revive this thread. Anyway, the problem with using aftermarket HID kits is that the position of the beam would most likely be higher and will blind the driver in front of them. If there is a way to adjust the beam, then your HIDs will work great except that it won't have the same features like the RX330 or 350 has (turning of the light while in a turn). The HIDs that come with the RX uses projection for the headlight instead of the bulb and the mirror thing. Aftermarket HIDs are cheap and you could probably get them for about $120 including shipping. The low beam bulb size of the RX330 and 350 is H11s, both uses the same housing. If anyone has done a conversion on their RX330 or 350, pictures would be great. If anyone knows how to adjust the headlight beam I would definitely install HIDs on a RX330.
  2. Hi there, I wanted to know if anyone has ever installed HIDs on their RX330 and how did it came out? Is the bulb type H11?. I know that the RX330 has a different housing than the one with the HIDs. But how much difference does it make without the projectors? I did read this one thread here about someone installing HIDs on their RX300, but the pictures are kind of small. By the way, anyone who has installed HIDs on other cars, what do you think is most recommended bulb temp? 4300K or 6000K? I know that 4300K is the brightest but doesn't give that blueish tint. Doesn't RX330's stock HIDs look bluewish white, is it 6000k? I was thinking of getting these HID Kit $160. A lot of my friends got these for their cars (Celica '05, Camry '03, Accord '03) and I've seen them myself and it looks really nice. Anyone knows if the warranty might be voided? My friend gave me a link about the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act and he said that the warranty can't be voided unless the cartridge or that HID kit really did cause the problem. So I guess Lexus doesn't have the right to void your warranty. I figured installing HIDs is harmless to the car, unless somehow it melts or explodes and breaks the housing.
