  1. Hi everyone, does anyone have any RX300's they're looking to part out? My interior is in a pretty bad shape and i'm looking to replace seats and seat belts. I have a 2002 RX300 FWD, tan interior. If anyone in the Chicago/Geneva IL area knows of someone who does, please let me know. Thanks!
  2. Yes, got it installed Saturday, wasn't too hard. Now can stream music, receive calles, it's great.
  3. The VAIS needs the navigation system installed. I have a 2002 w/o navigation, and there's a product from GROM that will work with it. Last time I played a CD was in 2005, so not a problem for me. Also, if you want to sell the car you just hook the CD back up. http://www.gromaudio.com/store/bt3_adapters/toyota_lexus_scion_98-11_aux-in_mp3_bluetooth_ipod_iphone_adapter.html The down-side, if you consider it one, is you lose the CD changer. The GROM interface connects to existing wires and replaces the CD. Check out the compatibility chart here: http://www.gromaudio.com/grom_application_guide.pdf User manual for the BT interface here: http://www.gromaudio.com/docs/instr_bt3.pdf I actually ordered one last week, they had a $20 coupon, should get it this week and install it.
  4. Ah, and I just sent you a PM yesterday asking for a nav kit for a 2002 RX300 :( Can you refer me to other resources? Thanks and good luck!
  5. Hi everyone, I'm looking into getting a complete nav kit for my 2002 RX300, are there any more kits available? Where do I purchase from? A lot of misinformation around the net... Thanks
  6. Gotcha Gotcha Gotcha Gotcha :D Great input guys, I've put them on the top of the list.
  7. Hefty, which model specifically? Road Venture APT KL51 Road Venture HT Road Venture MT KL71 Road Venture AT KL-78 Road Venture ST ?
  8. Thanks for the reply, I'll check it out. Thing is the wire installed already works with the old radio, but doesn't work with the new radio (I only changed the plug).
  9. Hi everyone, I had a basic Sirius radio installed in my 2002 RX300. A few weeks later I bought a better radio to replace the original one that was installed by Circuit City and found out the power plug doesn't fit. I cut the plug from the power adapter that came with the new radio and soldered it to the wire that was run internally (i.e. I replaced the power plug) but the radio won't turn on. I suspect they have different power requirements. Power adapter run through the dashboard: Closer look at the new radio; You can see the old radio power wire cut in the back of the wires. My question is how do I supply the correct amount of power to the new radio? I was thinking to open the cig-lighter and connect it to the power line inside the dash-board but I don't know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  10. The dealer here wanted $250 for a master key with remote, no way I'd pay that. What i ended up doing was purchase 2 blank keys with the built-in remote off ebay for $60. I called tons of local locksmiths but only select few had the equipment to cut the lexus key. they wanted $70 per key and that was even w/o programming it. So I called the local dealer in Raleigh, they said they will cut and program the key for $25. I was in shock... hehe So it ended up cosing me $107 after taxes and labor to cut and program 2 master remote-keys. I'm happy, keys work great. Saved at least $300.
  11. Sorry to revive this old thread but I have the same exact problem. It all started a few days ago, the temps has sunk below 32, and now i have major condensation inside the front window. the condensation also gets to the front side windows (although it seems like the condensation starts in the front then 'moves' to the sides). Now, as a Xmas present I had Circuit City install Sirius satellite radio last week. It appears the problem started after the installation although I can't be sure. I also had a 60k service done 3 days ago. Until 2 days ago the temps were 40 or above, only in the past 2 days they dipped below 32. I've tried the procedure suggested here, but the tube was very clean. I also checked the A/C air filter near the glovebox but it looks almost as new. Any other ideas? I'm at a loss as to what is causing the condensation inside the car. appreciate the help.
