warranty plan? i really don;t what that is. i bought a 2010 RX350 last year and the dealer give me 6 year extended warranty for $1500. now last month, i went to lexus dealer for 20000 miles service. they told me i should pay almost $400 for that. i wonder what the warraty for. the customer service told me the warranty covers only breakdown. now my question is, is a almost new lexus that easy break down in first few years of buying? do we need to pay for that? if it;s easy to breakdown, what they say about the quality etc....

i just niticed this morning that a light L/H overhead the back seat is on. the reading light ok with the switch on/off. also, the light on the bottom of the L/H back door stays on even though door is closed. cant' find a switch for the lights. any Idea welcomed. its' 92 LS400. thx heavry rain in Southern california for days and back ceiling alos soaked.

Mine is 92 Ls 400 about 170m miles. need to push hard on gas pedal to run up... feel heavy... also, when I hit 65+ m/h on fwy, the shift handle/knob starts shaking back and forth... what is that? transmission? engine mount or anything? and i can also hear engine noises like heavy breath....

this is very helpful.... my passenger side mirror also cracked when i tried to put a small dead-point view mirror on it. I just don;t know where to get the mirror glass to replace it.

Help.......92/LS-400 about 170,000 Miles. This morning i started car and Battery, Brake and Oil light won;t go off. As I know, these lights go off seconds after car started. everything was normal before. fisrt time occurance. Thunder storm at night and is that the cause? Thingking about some fuse reset and get them away? need suggestions. thx

I have a 92 LS400. i can feel the shaking even when hit a tiny bump or waved road. May be anti-shock problem? how to tell if mine is Air-suspension or not? or the whole generation 1 had no air suspension shock?

R12 is illegal in california now as i learned. anybody got suggestions? thx I dont know but mine did the exact same thing. Had not used it but when it got hot and I tried to use it it simply would not blow hot. I got a new compressor on ebay for $270. A friend mechanic charged me $100 to put it in. You probably will not get as lucky on the price unless you do it yourself but there are quite a few compressors for sale on ebay by various auto stores for hundreds less that OEM from a lexus dealership. I noticed yesterday that when i pressed Circulation, air blows kinda HOT, but when pressed the outside air, it feels a little bit cool. geeeez...i changed an airfilter. i believed it's something electronic messup.

the plugs are under the plastic cover of the engine. you have to remove the covers first. Cables underneath kinda complicated, don;t mess up. generally, change the plugs also change the cables

the leaking part is on the top of the plastic water tank, a black rubber lid on it. when i opened the lid, i can see a round plastic with tooth. is it the temp sensor? seeping around the plastic...

Dear all, Yersterday, i found the temp sensor on top of the water tank LEAKING or SEEPING(Is it temp sensor with a rubber lid covering the wiring beside the water tank lid?) Any suggetstion for DIY? thx.

1992 LS 400 A/C pretty cold last year. but this year just hot or outside air. no cold air at all even temp set at 65F。check finds code changes from 20, 21, 22...up to 29 and different air blows when these didgits dispaly. still use R12 refregent. don;t know where the air compressor, temp sensor located. would any of you post photos of those possile-failed parts so that i can check it up? thx.
