  1. I might have responded to this a long time ago but since we're all sharing: I graduated from Ohio State College of Dentistry in 2000, spent 3 years as a dentist in the Air Force 1 year in Washington, DC (Bolling Air Force Base) 2 years in North Carolina (Pope Air Force Base) - anyone know where that is? -it's surrounded by Fort Bragg, and now I've been out of the Air Force and doing dentistry back in columbus, OH since September 2003. I bought the RX during my first year in North Carolina! My son being born was a good excuse to buy a new car. It seemed like everyone in Cary, North Carolina had an RX300 - at least everyone who went to our grocery store. Anyway, if anyone plans on moving out to Columbus and needs a dentist, drop me a line. :D
  2. Maintenance page? Is this standard on all RX300's or is it available only on those with a navigation system? I have a 2002 RX300. Thanks.
  3. A friend of mine has an Ipod and told me that cassette adapters are available for use in cars. Maybe you should look up Ipod accessories. Good luck.
  4. I thought about buying one of those when i got my RX but I didn't think it was worth it for me. I knew tthat the lip would get in my way when placing or removing certain items. I went to Walmart and got one of those trunk liners for SUV's. all you have to do is trim it a little. Then I tacked it down in the corners with flat head tacks so it wouldn't budge. It didn't cost more than $10-15. Anyway, it works for me. Good luck.
  5. It's been awhile since i've had to post anything. I haven't driven my 2002 RX300 in a few weeks but then this morning as soon as i started driving it the Check Engine light, Trac Off, and VSC lights came on. I made an appt to take my car in to the dealer for tomorrow. Has this ever happened to any of you and what do you think it could be? The car drives fine. Is it something to do with emissions? I've got 45000 miles. Thanks. :(
  6. I guess it wasn't standard for 2002 RX300's. I would like to get a spoiler for it as well. I have been putting it off. I was quoted $500-550 by the dealer. What do you guys think about that?
  7. I have a 2002 RX300 and I recently bought a 98 honda Accord and one thing I like about the accord's CC over my RX is that it remembers the set CC speed after a complete stop (ie: at a toll booth or something) vs. the RX which resets apparently. I thought that was interesting. Does Lexus do that as a safety measure or something so that someone doesn't accidentally hit resume and end up having the car suddenly surge on them when they don't want it to? Just wondering.
  8. Are you sure that web site is the one you used because I tried it several times and they keep saying it is not available? www.speedtraps.com is what I tried. thanks
  9. I thought that was either the hyperdrive button or the passenger eject button. Boy, I learn something new about my RX everyday.
  10. Happy 41 craig! I turn 31 on Wednesday, july 28th! Any other leo's out there? I don't feel or look 31 but I hate to tell people my age. I actually look and feel 19. I hope I can stay that way as long as possible. I'm going through a divorce right now and THAT is what is making me age so much faster! Have a good one!! B)
  11. I love to eat out at fine restaurants as well, but usually it's subway.
  12. I didn't notice any RX300's there in those pics. Weren't they invited?
  13. I am a general dentist in Columbus, OH! :)
  14. In order to save on service costs I was going to start taking my 2002 RX300 to a toyota dealership to have my oil changed. I figure if its not lexus doing it, it might as well be Toyota. A long time ago when I had concerns about this i brought it up on this site and someone told me that the 2002 Rx 300 is based on the camry anyway so lexus isn't really doing anything special to it. They just like to scare you into bringing it only to Lexus. At least they like to scare people like me who know nothing about cars and trust them to tell me to do the right thing. If I take it to the lexus dealership here in columbus, OH they'll charge me about 70.00 for the oil change but toyota is quoting me 27.00. I like the sound of that. Do you think I'm safe going with the Toyota dealership to do my oil changes?
  15. That used to happen to me when I lived in North Carolina. That yellow shows up real nice on a black RX300.
