  1. They finally got me my replacement dash put in this week after a year and a half of waiting. I was qualifies for Dash and Door panels replacements but they are only doing dashes now from what I was told.
  2. I just called Lexus, not the dealership to confirm. They are indeed on hold once again on parts fulfillment and no ETA on when it will get picked up again. That is so frustrating! 800-255-3987 CUSTOMER SERVICE
  3. I've been waiting since November 2015 for mine.
  4. For those of you who do not care to deal with the circuit writer pen or have tried but did not have any luck fixing your screen this solution (from Amazon) worked perfectly for me. This is actually a full working screen instead of messing with the digitizer, you are replacing it AND the screen electronics as well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QJUI7BE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Good Luck!
  5. I too have the Luxury package(s). I basically have everything except the fancy Cruise and backup sensor. Love everything.... it really comes down to personal preference.
  6. Is this a typo or are you saying the IS350 (not 250) will be destroyed by a TL??? I thought the IS350 is faster than the TL?
  7. Have you figured out how to adjust them yet? Can someone with knowledge of this post some pictures and instructions? I've asked my Dealership in the Houston area to adjust but they claimed it's already to factory specs.
  8. I had mine changed as well. As for how it feels... I definitely notice the difference. It stops just fine but it does not really bite down like the OEM dust prone ones that came with the IS 350. Then again, I would rather have a cleaner car over the extra stopping power since I don't drive that way most of the time. Just another perspective for those wanting to change their pads.
  9. I am using Sterling McCall Lexus on the Southwest Freeway. I hear the other 2 dealerships hvae excellent service as well. I would think they need to be to compete with each other.
  10. Sorry to here that. I just mentioned to my Dealer in the Houston area about the accessive dust and they simply replaced it, no questions asked. My car only had 1.2K miles on it though.
  11. Here you go. Summer special ($1080 ) with video and sound to boot http://beta.lexus-parts.com/parts_detail.a...86361&all=Y
  12. Good sound is good sound... I don't know if the length of your drive should be the determining factor. If you are an enthusiast/audiophile, then I would highly recommend the ML system. I am very happy with mine. The big difference is you can turn it up quite loud and still have clean sounding music... no rattling sounds in your speakers. The only thing that rattles is maybe your rear view mirror from all the deep bass . I really like the fact that I get clean deep bass you can feel in your heart w/o the boom boom that some may find offensive as you drive by and set off all alarms in a parking lot with the typical aftermarket stuff. Just my opinion...
  13. I was setting the FM radio on my new IS250 with a fifth generation NAV unit last night, and the radio was able to tune to and receve a local San Diego HD FM station. The stereo sounds great is it is, and I have not been able to detect a real difference in the sound. Is your IS250 a 2008 model? I asked my salesman point blank if they offerred HD radio like BMW and he flat out told me "nope". Are you absolutely possitive you were getting an HD station?
  14. Your sales person may have meant that it was only available at that time in the IS350. When I was on the fence for the IS250 (4/06), I wanted the ML package or it was a no go. I was told that it could be done through special order, along with the rediculous wait of it being specially built for me at the factory. If you're willing to wait, almost anything is possible. It wasn't until close to the end of the 06 model run that the ML became unavilable. As for your system and the ASL button, it should be there on both ML and non-ML systems. I cannot, however, comment or test how it works on either model.:cries: It is available and works awesome in the G... but nobody asked that question.:whistles: I have an IS 350 w/ML and I can attest that the ASL DOES work, but it is based on speeds and the difference is very subtle, which in my opinion is nice. From 0-40mph there will be no difference, but as you pass 50 approaching 60mph you should notice the music a tad louder. This is mostly to keep up with any wind or road noise introduced at the higher speeds. When you slow down again at a light, you should notice the sound being a bit softer in volume. Again, this is very subtle so you have to actually listen for it to notice. I hope this helps for some. I consider myself as having a pretty good ear for music and when I first drove off the dealership with my car, I couldn't really tell if ASL works or knew how it supposed to work... I do now and am happy with the way it works.
  15. Very nice....Looks just like mine that I picked up last Saturday. Grats!
  16. LOL > You are too funny. You make a darn good point though in picking what feels best for you. After all, it's your hard earn money you will be spending. Perhaps you might want to consider an ES350 as well? As for paying MSRP... with the IS350 selling like hotcakes in the Houston area, not many dealers care to negotiate since if you don't pay full price, the next person in line right behind you will. That was 2 of the 3 Lexus dealership's mentality when I shopped for my IS350 fully loaded. It helped to bring in a printout from Edmunds.com or automsn.com that showed the model you picked with the packages on them displaying Dealer Invoice, MSRP(sticker price), and TMV(true market value) on it. The TMV shows you specifically what the folks in your zipcode are actually paying for their ISx50 cars with the same features. Come in to the dealership educated and prepare and things will go much smoother. It lets the sales people know you both have all the cards on the table and there no BS needed. The first dealer told me they can only knock $500 off MSRP. The second told me they won't budge because if I don't buy it, someone else will. The third was willing to knock $2000 off MSRP and sell me any additional Add-ons at their cost. You might not have the same luxury to deal with 3 different dealers in your town, but having the TMV will be a resourceful thing regardless. Goodluck with your search.
  17. VDIM ??? I was not aware of that. Is it like a stability control? Does better job than the ones on 250? I can't wait to test drive the car :) From Lexus's website: Here Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) [1] is a system which integrates braking, steering, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [2] and Traction Control (TRAC) systems to help minimize loss of traction in a turn.
  18. The VDIM feature which is only available on the IS 350 does not do the job for you as far as "stability"?
  19. Has anyone purchased the dealer installed K40 Radar kit on their IS? Can you tell us if it works well or more of an annoyance? Also, What is dealer cost on those things...they are asking for like $895 for front and $1275 for front and rear.
