  1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS-LS400-POWER-STEERING-PUMP-RESERVOIR-90-97-NEW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem45f24968c5QQitemZ300417640645QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories got 1 of these pumps a couple of years ago and never had a problem since. You can actually get 1 cheaper than this 1. I got mine for $115 plus shipping. a mechanic rebuilt mine and I sold it in ebay for more than I bought this 1 for. So technically I made money on the deal. What you must do after you get a new pump is maintanence at least once a year. do a flush and most importantly make sure you clean the Solenoid when you do the flush. good luck. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/steering/psflush.html http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12024&hl=
  2. 1995 LS I just recently purchased an Arnott Kit to change my current air suspension to regular coils. I want to change all of the bushings or the ones I need to change but I need some assistance in buying the right ones. Here is what Im looking to buy http://www.mybushings.com/lexus-ls400-c-26_63.html Just exactly with bushings do I need to replace. I've been doing reseach I have gone crazy as to exactly the bushings I must change. Are there any other places people have bought these bushings from. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
  3. 1995 LS I put $73.00 dollars of mid gas yesterday at $4.59 per gallon; I had the tank full. This afternoon when I got home from work I notice the gas tank was well below the half tank mark. I checked the door of the gas tank and I did not see any sign of force entry; I don't see a leak or smell any gas. My only reasonable guess is that someone had to funnel the gas out. I only drove from home to work and it's less than 3 miles. This had to happenned in front of my house last night. There is no way it could have happenned at work. I've looked in ebay and will be ordering a gas cap with a lock for about $30.00 with shipping. Definetly worth it. They got me for more than $60.00 easily. I will also be notifying the police. Maybe someone else around here may have been robbed too. How easy is to open the gas tank as it is ? is it that easy ?
  4. 1995 LS 180,000. Ever since I bought the car, the rear left speaker has never had any sound. I've tested that same speaker and works fine on another door. I've posted theads in the past explaning the problem and most members suggested that the problem was most like the NAK AMP. Well, I just but bought a NAK AMP and it had the same issues. There is no sound from the rear left speaker. Could the Nak radio be the problem ? The radio sometimes acts funny. Sometimes the buttoms won't work and the CD player skips. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks The car came with a cell phone, located on the right side of the trunk. Well, when I bought the car the wires that connected to the transreceiver ( speaker relay--noise filter) were disconnected. I also noticed the wires were burned. When ever I connected the wires to the Transreceiver, there would be no sound from any of the speakers. So I just took out the the whole thing out ( Transreceiver--Speaker Relay and Noise filter out completely out of the car. Could this the cell phone devive be the problem with this Nak System. I am trying my best to keep the stock system in this car. I love how the Nak System sounds... Should I be looking to fix the radio ? Sometimes the radio acts funny. It skips often and sometimes I only get sound from on speaker. other times I am not able to change the radio at all when it's acting up.
  5. Does anyone know if a Nakamichi AMP for a 1998-2000 GS400 would fit on a 95-97 LS400? Thanks.
  6. Thanks a million for that part #. I was able to order only the pulley from an auto part store for $30.00. Thanks again.
  7. I have a minor problem. I have 1995 LS and the Belt Tensioner that is bad. I can actually get away with simply changing the pulley of the tensioner which comes separately. I bought the complete Belt tensioner from an auto part but it turned out the pulley was too small. I them bought only the pulley from another auto part store and again the pulley was too small. I found a Toyota Belt tensioner pulley on EBay with the following listing: THIS IS AN ORIGINAL BELT TENSIONER FOR ALL V8 LEXUS AND TOYOTA VEHICLES. PART NUMBER: 16620-0W100. However, I called several Lexus dealer and they would not give me the part # of the Belt Tensioner and when I informed them of the part # that I had , they said it did not match the part # they had. With that said, does the belt tensioner from the Toyota listing fits the Lexus even if is not the same part #. Also, I gave the auto part store the Toyota part # and they said they can get the same part. Does anyone have the part # for the Lexus belt Tensioner? Thank you in advance.
  8. I have the same problem with my 95 LS. I am waiting to hear how it turn out before making the call myself. Please post as soon as you have an answer. Thanks
  9. 95 LS Just replaced mine last week. I bought an OEM pump (rebuilt) from EBay for $135.00 shipping, included, I kept my old pump, and I am planning on getting a PS kit to rebuilt mine. I was the only one to bid on this PS PUMP. My mechanic charged me $60.00 to install, but I've know him for a while. The same pump is on EBay right now but after I gave the seller a positive feedback, there have been more bids on this pump. Check it out; it has a few days remaining. From what my mechanic told me it was not hard at all too replaced. However, he did mention that the pump had never been removed and he used a whole lot of A1 in order to break any bolts.
  10. Is the shifter loose, moving left to right, when you're moving the shifter with your hand, or is the shifter loose when the transmission shifts gears while driving? It sounds to me like the clunk you're experiencing with your car is the same clunk that I am experiencing; when moving the shifter into Drive from Park or Neutral. The reason I changed out the motor and trans mounts is because my transmission kind of lags when it shifts while driving. The shifting is no longer crisp like when I first bought it. I changed the mounts because I knew they were worn from checking them out and was hoping that changing them would improve my transmissions shifting. I also knew from this site that motor mounts last around 100,000 miles before they need changing. Now my thinking is that this has only put more stress on my drive line with possibly worn out flex couplings, but I'm not sure. My car still doesn't shift smoothly, even with new motor and trans mounts. Matter of fact, it now shifts harder when the engine is under more stress than it did before changing the mounts. The lagging has subsided somewhat, but now it shifts harder while driving and clunks/lurches when shifted into Drive. Are you considering changing your mounts? I can explain how to check them out if you'd like. It's pretty simple. I had a similar problem with my 95 LS, but it turned out I was low on transmission fluid. Added fluid and the problem stooped. However, I had previously dropped the Trans Pan but used gasket instead of the recommended Toyota sealant. I have a minor leak coming from the side of the pan and the car has again started to hesitate a little when first put in gear. I am going to drop the pan again fix that leak. I am hoping this fixes my problem. Like the other felloe member stated, I no nothing about motor mount and why they need to be change. I'm hoping to learn a little more about the motor mounts
  11. Do a search on this forum and you should be able to find a lot on this. Also look in LEXLS.COM. good luck.
  12. 95 LS I removed my Nakamichi Amp because I am hoping to be replacing it soon. I noticed after I removed the AMP there water right under the AMP and near the plugs, it also did not smell all that good down there . I've had the car over 4 months and I think it’s fair to say that that water has not been there for that period of time. It has to be getting down there from somewhere, definitely not from inside the car. It has to be coming from under the car, where? I don’t know. Does anyone have any idea where it may be coming from? Or what I can do to fix it. I usually take the car to the high pressure wash. UHHHMM I am planning on changing the Amp but what good is it if I replace the AMP and it gets wet again. Last question. Does an AMP from a 96 LS fit a 95 LS? A 96 LS AMP that I seen has the following numbers on the back. It says Toyota 86280-50150 Not sure if this is serial # QD 033302 and it says pioneer Electronics parts The 95 LS AMP has the following #s: 86280-50160 serial # 06917 it also has B338ULOA Nakamichi Corporation. Does it fit on the 95 LS? A thousand thanks.
  13. Can anybody tell me what Lexus this Nakamichi AMP is from? On the bottom it has the Following Numbers: 86280-30380 B344ULOA SERIAL # 05812 It says: Nakamichi Corporation. It has 4 plugs. From left to right color of the Plugs ( Orange, Green, Grey White) it looks very similar to the 95 LS but I can not tell. Thanks
  14. Thank very much for your response. I actually had a friend of mine that knows a lot about electronics. He has never worked on a Lexus or Nak System and he actually suggested the same thing. He said to get a 4 channel Amp for the speakers and keep everything the same. The other option was to get new head unit with amp and go from there. Better idea to buy that 4 Cha Amp. I'll call him back and confirm with him. Thank you again
